We have the Lifeline Bookfest on in Brisbane this week.
Millions of books to check out and some bargains to scout for...
The Bookfest raises over a million dollars each year for Lifeline, which is amazing really??
Although when you see all those books...holy moly?
I wouldn't want to be pricing them?
Today we headed in to the Convention Centre and met my friend Trace and her two kidlets, along with myself, my two kidlets and my niece Mel. Eveybody got some great books and some PC games...the kids have already played them this afternoon. Both are very happy with their purchases!
needless to say we all walked out with heavy bags full of books!
After scouting through the many aisles, we headed over to Southank for lunch before heading for home.
It was super hot in Brissy today, about 36 degrees and hotter at the Coast and to the west.
I don't complain about the heat to much but today I did...it was horrid. So hot, muggy and humid.
Apparently it's due to a cyclone developing up north. Tomorrow is supposed to be a little better.
Here's a pic inside of the Bookfest...
and Trace checking out the books.
I can't believe there's only about 9 days left of the school holidays and we will be back into routine again.
Seems like yesterday we finished up last year's school year.
In saying that, I am prepared. All the books are covered, pencils named, new uniforms have been named and we have new shoes to start the year.
I'm off on a girly road trip later this week, so I need to be organised.
Here's a few other things we've been doing in dot form...
* I attended the Grand Opening of Kaisercraft's Robina store on the Gold Coast. was a fun day out and caught up with some wonderful scrap friends for lunch afterwards.
* Zac stacked his scooter big time and took skin off his chin and elbow.
Youchy!!
* Have had play dates with school friends and cousins.
* Been to see "Avatar", "Alvin and the Chipmunks" and "The Tooth Fairy" all within 2 weeks!
* Finally cleaned all the camping gear and it's been put away til next time, which is Easter, I'm told.
* I've made about 60 invitations for a friend's son who is turning 21 in February. I'll share them, but I need to take a pic first.

I think I'll be glad once school goes back and things settle down a bit.
I may actually get some more scrapping done! :)
I hope you are getting back into the swing of things.
Chat soon,
