It's Friday!!!
Yay, although another busy one in the Jamieson household!
A market for me, cricket grading for Zac, Cricket Finals for Jase, an Aunt and Uncle visiting from Vic and a Birthday for a special little girl! It's gonna be BIG! LOL
I thought I'd share a pic of a beautiful beach in Ballina today.
This beach sits on the other side of the wall, at the mouth of the Richmond river. I had a recent post about it.
Anyway, it's such gorgeous scenery but was also the place a young 16 yr old Ballina surfer was attacked by a shark in 2008. Very sad to say the badly injured surfer lost his life at this very beach, despite the efforts of his very brave friend.
We saw a very moving "plaque" that sits on the rocks overlooking this beach.

It's sad that such a picturesque place could hold such a bad memory.
