Happy New Year and Layout: 1 Little Fish

Happy New Year everyone!
I'm still coming to terms with writing 2015 on everything and the fact that my eldest starts High School this year. Eekkk!

Anyway, this past weekend I joined in a Cyber crop over at Delish Scraps. First time I have ever joined in with them. I was a little bit limited with photos as I left my Hard Drive full of photos over at my father-in-laws place at Christmas time. Damn. Luckily we are heading to his place for the long weekend so I can grab it and I'll be back in action again.

Anyway, Wendy had a sketch challenge that I had a photo for so I had a play.
This was the sketch.

Loved it, so I had a play and this is what I came up with.

This is my Dad holding a little fish. My whole family was on holidays in Hervey Bay and we all went fishing out the jetty. Dad caught this little fella and the joke was, if you stretch it, it'll look bigger!
Then he joked that the kids should kiss him before throwing him back, like Rex Hunt does.
They didn't think that was a very good idea! Lol. Sweet memories.

Here's a few closeups.

Thanks for popping by.
Enjoy your long weekend.

Layout: Good Mates

Two posts in two days...I'm on fire!

After having a go at Scrap the Girls, I thought I'd best look at Scrap the Boys Challenge blog. This month it is a sketch and I liked it. Lots you can do with this one.

So, I dug through my older photos in my stash and came across this one. I took it last December in our backyard. Zac and his good mate Ethan, who have been friends since Prep, way back in 2008. They now attend different schools but are still good mates. It's a lovely friendship.

I took the photo with my Fuji Instax Polaroid camera. I love that thing. Very cool! I really like this photo. It makes me smile.

Here's my layout based on the sketch...

and some closeups.

Loved the creative process. I think I may have missed this scrapbboking thing!

Layout: Ella - Our Pink One

On holidays at last, so I have time to play and finally share some creativity.
It's been quite some time since I pulled out the paper and glue, but to have time to unleash some creativity is always good for the soul. I've missed it, although with our busy life I didn't know I had.

I hopped on Scrap the Girls Challenge blog to get some inspiration.
To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. Beautiful soft, feminine colours with a touch of sparkle. I loved it all.

So, I dug through my stash of photos and thought this one of Ella, when she was about 4 or 5 was perfect. Colours suited the look and style too.

So, this is what I came up with...

with some closeup's of course, so you can see the detail.

Loved playing with this challenge.
So pretty and girly.
