Happy Halloween

It's Halloween!!!
Zac and Ella are right into it this year!
They have been nagging me to buy some decorations, so we did. Although, note to self...Get them before the week leading up to Halloween, as the selection is slightly limited. We still had fun anyway!

The kids went to our neighbours and said "Trick or Treat". Not sure who was more excited, the kids or our neighbours kids, who are 14 and 12. They wanted to dress up too.
Ella went as a Hula girl...a change from the ninja turtle she was yesterday for the Kindy Halloween party. Zac was a pirate and totally his own collaboration! (hehe)

So, we decorated our front door with a huge spider, put up skeletons, skulls and some pumpkins that we lit tonight. I think Halloween might be in our Calendar to saty, for a little while, anyway!

Here's some pics...Here they are eating their treats!

How was your Halloween?

The last friday in October!!
Not long til Christmas now. I'm starting my Christmas shopping this week. I think I have to...Zac only has a month left of school? How did that happen??

Today was the Halloween Dress Up day at Kindy.
Ella has been talking about this for weeks. She has been set on wearing Zac's Ninja Turtle Outfit...Raphael of course! It's a little long in the legs, so we had to roll them up.
Here she is as we were walking out the door.

The girls at Kindy thought she looked fabulous!

It's my turn for this week's Challenge in Scrap n Craft with T's "Embellish This" competition. The entries have been fantastic.
Congratulations to the girls that made it through to this week.

You can play along if you like.
All the details can be found on Tan's blog.

Here's my layout...

and a close up...

We have plenty going on this weekend, with Halloween tomorrow night. This year Zac and Ella are right into it, so we are decorating our front door tomorrow. They can't wait! I'll share some pics soon.

Then, Jase and I are off to Twin Towns with some friends to see Adam Brand on Sunday night...I can't wait! Yeehaa!

Here's me today...

Have a good weekend!

It's raining....finally!

It's raining here today.
It's so nice to see the rain after so long without it.
The lawn is brown, with a tinge of green after a big storm here on Monday night. Lots of thunder and lightening and tons of rain. I'm sure the tanks around Brisbane are full again. It sure was a downpour and we've had another big downpour just at lunchtime.
We may be mowing our dead brown grass before long??

Just thought I'd share and let you know I'm still around!

That time of the week again.
Friday once again!

I've had a busy day at work, then swimming lessons for Zac straight after school, before the Kindy pickup! It's been hectic, to say the least!

Here's today's pic...

This weekend is Scrapchat's Trash and Treasure weekend.
It's an auction site with crafty goods, new and old...and some handmade things too!
I have a heap of Chelley Bean uploaded ready for sale. The action starts at 4am tomorrow morning.

You can find the site here.
Pop by and see what's on offer. You might even grab a bargain or two!

Anyway...I'm tired, so I'm off to bed!
Night all!

have a great weekend!

I had such a super busy weekend. There was so much going on.
Sat morning started with a 4.45am rise...unheard of for me(I like my sleep)...but I did it and arrived at the Handmade Expo nice and early to set up.
All ready for an 8am start!
I had a fun day and met some lovely people.

Here's my stand, just before opening time...
There's more pics on the Chelley Bean blog if you're interested.

After the market, I headed to Cleveland to a Girls Night In crop, hosted by the lovely Gyspy from Scrapchat. I caught up with plenty of Scrap friends, some of which I haven't seen in a while. Always great catching up with them all!!
I wasn't terribly productive...too much chatting...but I did get this double done.

and a couple of close ups...

Then Sunday we celebrated my cute little niece, Amelia's 2nd Birthday.
She had so much fun. The kids had a swim in the pool, we had a BBQ lunch and caught up with family and a few friends. A great day out!

Here's Miss Amelia and her cake...

Then we had a pupil free day yesterday. I needed it!
I hope you had a good weekend!

I've been so busy with getting my Chelley Bean stuff together for The Handmade Expo, that it feels like this week has passed me by!

So, look out...I'm ready or as ready as I'll ever be??

Here's today's pic...very late in the day!

I just want to wish my cousin Nicole, a very Happy Birthday for tomorrow!

Happy Birthday Jase

It's my sweet husband, Jason's Birthday today.
I won't tell you how old he is...he might get upset! LOL
Let's just say he's creeping ever closer to a BIG Birthday...still a few years away!!!!

He had a lovely day, finished off with dinner tonight, just the four of us. It was delicious and very relaxing. Love it when I don't have to cook! ;)

Here's a pic of us at the wedding recently.

I'm loving this!!!

Been doing an online class tonight(Scrapbooking of course) and the girls were telling me about a clip with Oprah and the Black Eyed Peas. The Peas opened Oprah's 24th Season on TV and had a big Party in Chicago.
I won't tell you the whole thing...I'll let you find out for yourself...

I thought this was fitting, seeing my recent dancing misfortune! Haha
By the way...the ankle is doing ok. Lots of swelling still and a ripper purple and yellow bruise but it's getting a little better each day. At least I can walk....might be a while before I pull out the dance moves again!! LOL

Very cool, isn't it???
Apparently Oprah was none the wiser. It was Will I Am's idea!!

If you check out Oprah's website here, she has a video on how to do the dance!
I love it...made me smile!

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Jamieson

My BIL Scott married the gorgeous Kate on Saturday.
They really are a match made in heaven. So very well suited to each other.

Scott and Kate have 3 kids...Griffin, Seth and Amelia.

Here's a pic of my two cute nephews all dressed up before the boys left!

The boys...Jase(my DH), Scotty(the groom) and Baz(my BIL)...

The wedding cars were Hummers. The boys had a regular one and Kate and the girls had a stretched one. They were VERY COOL!!
Scotty and the Hummer...the boys all want one now!! (LOL)

Zac was very taken by the Hummer and when we got to the Chapel, the guy driving it asked him if he wanted to hop in...but if he did, he had to do this pose. Zac loved it!!

They tied the knot at a little chapel amongst family and friends.
Here they are signing the register...

The Jamieson family...

Here's our little family...also the Jamieson family!

The whole family...

It was a fabulous day. We celebrated the night away at Brothers Leagues Club in Ipswich.
We ate, drank and danced the night away!

All was going well til about 11.30pm when I got a little adventurous with a dance move that ended badly...with me in a pile on the floor.
Yep, I sprained my ankle. Knowing me I did a pretty good job of it.
I'm on the mend though and can now walk on it, thankfully!

Apart from that...it was great!
I had a ball!!

It's friday again!
Now we're in October? Where has 2009 gone??
I suppose I should start making a Christmas list and start on the never ending Christmas shopping before the rush begins??
Well, I can think about it hey??
Whether I actually start it is another story?? LOL

This morning Zac and I had a train trip to the City to meet up with Scrapmanda and Lexie. They both work in the same building and on occasion catch up for a cuppa.
Loved catching up again girls, Thankyou!
It's some nice time out, and it's been a while since we gave the train a whirl!

Here's us at Morning Tea...
L-R: Manda, me and Lex

Seeing I've spent the day with my boy, we thought we'd take a pic of us together.
He cracked a joke and had a huge belly laugh as I snapped this one.
I love it!

I'm off to pack for my weekend away. It's the BIG wedding tomorrow of my BIL Scott to my SIL-to-be Kate, but celebrations start tonight! Should be a great weekend with friends and family.
I'll take heaps of pics tomorrow, don't you worry!
