Guess who's 6??

Our little man turned 6 today!
Yep...Zac is growing up way too fast!!



He's been into Treasure maps lately, so guess what we did for him? I wonder??
There was a Treasure map left beside his bed and he had to follow it to find his Birthday present. The neighbours must have wondered what we were all doing at 6.45am this morning...wandering around the backyard in our PJ's!!
He loved it, so it was worth it!

Here's what his surprise was...a new bike!


Zac and Daddy went out to Gold Class at lunchtime to see Transformers. He loved the first one, so we thought we'd treat him for his Birthday. He loved it!

While they were out at the movies, Ella and I made Zac a cake.
Here it is...my first time with writing icing...it's not as easy at it looks! LOL
I'm so NOT a cake decorator!!


Here's my offsider...she was more worried about cleaning the bowl...LOL

A sad day

It's been a very sad day across the world with the passing of the beautiful Farrah Fawcett and the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

I'm glad Farrah Fawcett is out of pain and suffering. She's had such a long battle with Cancer. I'm glad she's at peace. I just wish she could have married her longtime love...Ryan O'Neal. I'm sure he wishes they had of done it sooner.
I think she'll always by my favourite angel!



So, I turned on Sunrise to hear the news and nearly choked on my toast when I heard that there were reports that Michael Jackson had died. I couldn't believe it??
Jase was still lying in bed and flew out and said...What?? No??
I still can't believe it. Very sad to think such a Music Icon could be dead at 50?
I wasn't a die-hard Michael fan, but did love his earlier stuff...like "Thriller", "Billie Jean" and "I'm Bad". It was a shame he had so much turmoil in his life. He never really had a childhood, his bizarre plastic surgery then the sex claims...all very sad.



May they both rest in peace.

On a brighter note...here's my Friday Foto.


School holidays have started for us here in Queensland. I'm hoping the weather clears up and we have some sunny days. Much better than the dreary wet days we've been having, and keeping my two entertained with the rain for 2 weeks could be fun...NOT!!

A foggy morning

We don't get fog very often here in Brisbane.
Today we awoke to a thick blanket covering the city.
The last of it lifted just before 11am. A rare event for us...

I found this little spiders web, covered in water drops, just outside our front door as we were heading out the door to school.
How cool is it??



I did some scrapping last night.
I've been busy working on projects for Scrapbooking Memories mag, which hit the post this afternoon. I also created this one.

I'd better sign off for the night. The 2nd Origin is on tonight and Qld could make history as the most successful side ever!! We'll be cheering them on.
Zac's a bit excited about it all. He's asked me every 10mins or so since about 5pm, when's the footy starting?? Excited much?? LOL
It's been a long afternoon!

The School Walkathon was cancelled this afternoon, due to the torrensial rain.
They were optimistic, but the weather gods didn't want to play!
So, we came home and rearranged the kids rooms...Oh the joy!!
They were excited to sleep in their new room tonight!!

Yesterday we had some backyard fun, in between the rain showers.
Here's Ella...she just loves being creative and painting is one of her favorites!!
Maybe she takes after her Mum? LOL

11 years today

Jase and I were married on this day, 11 years ago.
Time passes by so fast. I can't believe it was 11 years ago...where has that time gone??

The most amazing part. I think I love my husband Jason, more today than I did 11 years ago. If that's possible?
We've been through so much together...good and bad.
We've have some turbulant times, especially of late, but are battling through and are all the stronger for it. Life throws you some curve balls at times...but so far, we seem to be catching them!

Jase...I love you more than ever.
May we have many many more years together!!

Friday Foto

My night out at PINK, was awesome. She's an amazing lady.
I love her music. This show was even better than the last. The stage was fabulous.
I'm not gonna give too much away, as I don't want to ruin it for anyone else going to see her. I can guarantee you'll love it!
I came out of the show hoarse...do think it may be all the singing?? LOL

I'm about to head out the door to see the very talented PINK in concert, here in Brisbane!
She starts in just a few hours. Should be a very fun night out! I can't wait!

Seems like only yesterday I was going to her last Concert. That was 3 yrs ago!

Cup Fever

I've had a fun weekend away.
We headed to Ipswich on Friday night, in readiness for the Ipswich Cup on Saturday. It was an early start at 6.30am! Up and getting ready, before heading off to our annual Champagne Brekky, at Kimmy's.
Then, off to the Races. What a day??
We always have a blast! Lots of fun, drinks and catching up with plenty of friends. Jase and I both grew up in Ipswich, so it's nice seeing friends from years past. It feels like we'd never left. Living in Brisbane, we don't get to see them very often.

We did pretty well. I awoke with no headache, which is always a bonus after a day like that!! Just a bit tired, but that's expected.
I had an awesome blister on one foot, and I'm sure my feet will Thank me, after a few days recovery. The brutality of what heels can do?

Friday Foto

It's a very chilly Friday, here in Brisbane.
I don't think I've thawed out all day...Brrrrr!
It's the first real cold snap we've had, and I'm sure it won't be the last of Winter!

We awoke this morning to Hot Air Balloons floating over our house.
There were 4 altogether! The kids were VERY excited about it all!







And here's me...shivering on this cold Winters day !


We're off to the Races tomorrow(well, Jase and me). It should be a fantastic day out, even if it's a little cold! Catching up with friends we haven't seen in ages...I can't wait!

Lots going on...

Last weekend was super busy, so I thought I'd share a few pics from our friends 40th Birthday. It was for Dave and Donna. They are married and born on the same day...Can you believe that??
It's totally freaky, huh??

They had a fun night, with lots of laughs and plenty of alcohol!!

I had so much fun yesterday.
I went to the Scrapbook Convention, on here in Brisbane this weekend.
I saw lots of lovely friends and met a few new ones too, which was nice.
I hope will now comment on my blog. Hehe...You know who you are!!

I went with my friend Leanne, and we had a ball.
We had a good look around and met up with Tan from
Scrap'n'Craft with T. It was lovely catching up with you! It doesn't happen often enough!

We also passed by my layouts and project on display. That was a bit surreal. I still get blown away seeing it "out there"!
We took a photo of me doing a Sale of the Century pose beside them, and had a bit of a giggle in the process!
All in all, a great day out, although a little exhausting. My feet hurt by the end of the day. I bought some new yummy product that I can't wait to play with, too.
