A favourite pic...

While I was working on the computer yesterday, Jase and the kids decided to watch a movie. After a while they seemed very quiet, as Ella normally talks constantly in any movie. So, I hopped up from what I was doing and found this...

Check out the pillow on Zac's head...haha
He has himself all propped up in the beanbags, while Dad and Ella took their spot on the lounge!

You've gotta love a lazy Saturday afternoon.

Update

I wanted to Thankyou for leaving me some lovely comments on getting well soon.
I can say...I'm on the mend. I went to the Dr's on Monday, and am glad it wasn't Swine flu...as my 5yr old told me!
Goes to show what the media can do...even to our littlest Aussies?

Zac and I were both put on antibiotics and are feeling much better for it.
The being tired and aches was all part of this years strain of flu, which I've never suffered with before...it was awful!

I was out and about earlier this week and couldn't resist this...Jase and I have watched it already!

So many people have told me how good the books are. So I came home with this today...and I've already started reading it!

Think I'm addicted...MUCH??????

I'll leave you with a quick share, of a couple of layouts I did a few weekends back...

Family Photo Shoot

A few weekends ago, my dear friend Leanne did a Photo Shoot with my husband's side of the family. My MIL Nancy, is having her 60th Birthday in a few weeks, so we thought that would be a nice present for her.
It's ok, she knows all about it, so I'm not giving any secrets away.

It was a fun afternoon taking plenty of pics.
I must say a very BIG Thanksyou to Leanne for doing it for us.
Everybody loves the pics.

Yesterday, she put them in my hot little hand.
Not sure who was more excited...Jase or me??
You can see some on Leanne's blog too.

Here's a few of my favourites...

It's Saturday photo...

I got into watching movies last night, and totally forgot to put up my Friday Foto.
I watched Twilight and think I'm in love with Edward...LOL
I love a good love story and this was definately that!!

I have had the dreaded lurgy for a week and a bit now and am still not feeling the best. I think my big weekend last weekend has finally caught up with me...I'm so tired.
I got out of bed at 9am this morning and had a Nana nap from 1-4 this afternoon and I still feel tired!
Hope I'm feeling better soon.

Here's my photo from yesterday...

I've also finished off a few of my layouts from last weekend...mainly journalling.
I'll share a couple tonight and save a few for coming posts.

Here's a couple with a Country theme...

Thanks to all those who commented on the wild weather. It's been raining again today but nothing like it was through the week. We've had a quiet day at home.
There's supposed to be a storm surge tonight on the coast, so let's hope they all stay safe. Seems they evacuated a lot of people on low-lying areas. They are not taking any chances.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Wild Queensland Weather

The weather has been crazy here in SE Qld, to say the very least!
It has hardly stopped raining. I'm saying that very quietly, as it has actually stopped, while I write this.

Apparently Brisbane has had about 90mm's on rain with parts of the Sunshine Coast having over 300mm. That's a lot of rain!!

We aren't in any danger, as we live high on a hill, so no flooding in our street.
I went downstairs late this afternoon to find water flowing thru my laundry and on the floor in my scrap space. Luckily, most of it is up high and not a lot was damamged...well, I'm hoping?
We can't do a lot until it stops raining.
There is just no where for the water to go, with that much rain.
I'm so glad we haven't had the floor coverings put down there yet, or they have been pulled up. It's concrete atm and I'm glad it is.

I found a few pics on the Courier Mail website, of around our area that have been affected by flooding.
Here's the bottom of the road that Zac's school is on...Corner of Kedron Brook Rd and Newmarket Rd.

And here's the bike track I ride on...

Crazy, huh?
Let's hope it eases up soon.

Scrapchat Retreat

It was another action packed weekend away at Warana on the Sunshine Coast for the Scrapchat Retreat!
This house is such a fabulous venue. I love it!
It backs onto the beach, so we usually head down there late in the day for a fun photo session. It's become tradition now!
We've been coming here for the past 4 Retreats now and I don't think I've seen that beach look more beautiful than it was on the weekend. As the sun slowly went down, the sky turned a very pinky purple shade...it was magnificent!
The surfers and beach goers were everywhere, so it wasn't just us and our many cameras taking in the beautiful view!

We scrapped to our little heart's content. I had 2 late finishes, the latest being 3.20am!! Luckily I got a sleep in, before I had to arise again!

I got 12 layouts completed, a CJ entry, a little canvas, a 4x4 and a playing card. Quite a productive weekend, I'd say!

I also got to meet Sue and Alyssa for the very first time. That was fabulous. To meet some gorgeous girls in real life that I chat to all the time, was great!
I already felt like I knew you both, but now I really do!

So, a great weekend was had yet again. Plenty of great company, drinks...even margaritas this time(Thanks Manda), not just wine...food and of course uninterrupted scrap time. That's what I love!!

Here's some snaps from the weekend...

Me and Tracey...aka Tiddlypeep...We are on Scrap'n'Craft with T's Design Team!
She's such a crack up...She keeps me on my toes.

Me with Manda...aka Scrapmanda...Love her to bits. She's a great friend to me!

Me with adorable Lys...who I met for the very first time.
I feel like I've known her forever!!
How alike do we look????

I'll have some scrapping to share tomorrow...so check back...nothing like suspense huh?? LOL

Some Invitations...

I've been busy making invitations this week. My MIL is about to celebrate her 60th Birthday, so I was asked to make the invitations.
I went with a simple look.
(Personal information has been smudged for privacy reasons.)

This is what I came up with...

We are having some family photos taken this weekend for Nancy's present.
She asked for that as most of our family's are completed now.
I'm looking forward to it. Can't wait to see them! :)

Mothers Day

I love Mothers Day!
It's nearly better than your Birthday.
When everyone else in your house gets to do my jobs for a day.

Jase made the beds, did the dishes and even ironed clothes this morning.
That was very nice, but I wish it happened every day?
Oh well...the life of a Mum, hey??

I was spoiled with some new PJ's, which is what I wanted. Zac and Ella also bought me a chocolate rose...that was delish!

Then off we headed to the Broncos for lunch today. All the Mum's were treated to a glass of bubbly, chocolates and a flower...mine was a tulip...my favourite flower!
Lunch was delicious, as always. We celebrated with my Mum, Dad and my sisters family. It was a really lovely day, just enjoying each others company.

Here's me and my two little people out at lunch today.

I hope your Mothers Day was special!

Friday Foto

It's friday again!!

Have you got anything planned this weekend?
I'm looking forward to a lovely Mothers Day. We are heading out for lunch...Yum!
Busy day tomorrow with some shopping and Auskick, then a sleepover for my nephew. It should be action packed!

I've had a sick boy home today. Zac vomited at school yesterday and has been pasty white with a raging temp. Off to the Dr's today, with him telling us it's only a virus. Still not nice and it'll take a few days to get over. He ate all his dinner tonight and was bouncing around, so it seems he may be on the mend! let's hope so.

On to my Friday Foto...Here's today's!

Have a fabulous weekend!

Ready.Set.Go.....

Zac had his school Cross Country this morning.
He has been very excited about running it, and was a little "pumped" about the whole thing this morning. At 5, that competitive spirit is starting to kick in!

Here's some snaps from this morning...

Ready to get started.

Away they go.

Coming into the finish line.

Zac's the last boy in red in this photo. He's in Skehan house.
I can happily report he came 6th today and was mighty stoked with his effort.
All you hope is that they try their best and he certainly did that!

Wiggly fun

Lots of Wiggly fun was had today!!
We headed up to Toowoomba to the beautiful Empire theatre to see the Wiggles.
The kids loved it. There were 3 adults. My friend Lee-Ann, her hubby Glenn and me, with 6 kids in tow. We did pretty well.
They all had fun, danced and sang. Zac thinks he's a bit old for it now, but secretly he had a good time.
Lee-Ann and I have decided that Captain Feathersword makes the show, and he's pretty easy on the eye too!! LOL

Here's Ella and Hollee...waiting for the action to start.
These 2 are about 7 mths apart in age, and after our camping trip are jpined at the hip. All they do is talk about the other. It's very cute!
They had their red roses ready to give to Dorothy.

Here's a snap of the show...

It was a beautiful Autumn day today.
For a place that can be so icy cold, and Toowoomba being on top of the range, today was gorgeous.
They couldn't have picked a better day...it was a public holiday here in Qld today.

It's been a while since I've been up to Toowoomba. It's such a pretty place. Lots of lovely trees overlapping the streets, and beautiful old buildings.
It's a delightful place!

I'm off to watch Underbelly. It's the last episode tonight. I can't wait!
