Flashback Friday

It's Friday!!

I did a digi yesterday with a pic of Ella when she was little. So, today I thought I'd share a pic of her Naming Day. So, this pic is from March 2006...a few years back. How short is my hair? LOL
This is Jase's side of the family.
The kids all look so small in this pic. Wow...how they've grown??

L to R: Barrie, Mike, Kate, Melanie, Nancy, Tracey, Griffin, Scott, Zac, Jase, me, Amanda and Ella.
There's been 2 new additions to the family since this pic!

To other news, I was blog hopping this morning and came across the Scrapjacked Challenge blog, and loved Dee's layout for jacking this month. So, off to work I go!

Here's my effort...

I loved these pics of Ella and her concentration in opening her Easter egg.

Happy Friday!

We've had The Stamp Shak's May Cyber crop about Mum's on this weekend, and I had two challenges this time around!

I didn't know how similar the colours were til I uploaded them here.
Hmmm....What was I thinking that day?? LOL
I was obviously in that colour kinda mood!!

The digi kit for this one is from Shabby Princess - The Promise Collection.

Busy jobs day

I've had a "jobs" day today, and have achieved quite a lot.
I started off doing housework, with vacuuming, mopping and plenty of washing. Lunch for the kidlets and into bed for a nap, and I had one too...LOL. Felt very refreshed and headed out to paint the fence, which I did til dark. It's looking fabulous. Just the back side to do tomorrow and it's done. I love painting..I know...I'm strange. I find it quite theraputic.

Tomorrow, I'm meeting my sister at the markets to get some plants for the garden. That should be fun, especially with two kids in tow! DH is working in the morning!
Another busy day ahead for me, so I'd better get some scrapping in tonight!!

Here's my layouts from the Retreat. I had a catchup day on friday to finish off journalling and put the finishing touches on 2 layouts. Very happy with what I got done, as I talked plenty, too! LOL

Flashback Friday

Can you believe it's friday already?
I've been a slack blogger this week. A week ago I was so excited to be going away with my scrap buddies for the weekend. Now it's a distant memory. I've been busy catching up on sleep, layouts, packing card kits for The Stamp Shak and preparing for tonight's cyber crop at The Stamp Shak forum.. So, if you're up for a challenge, pop on over for a chat and join in the fun!! It all starts at 7pm tonight!!

Now, onto today's flashback...

This pic was taken back in the early/mid eighties. We were still living in Vic on the farm. I'm at the back, then the little guy driving the mower is my cousin Jayden and on the front is my sister, Kellie.
Wow...how we've changed since then?

The little guy...my cousin Jayde is now over 6 foot and runs a Transport company just outside of Melbourne. He still has red hair, too!!
He'll love me for saying that!! LOL

I'll share my layouts I did at the Retreat tomorrow. I've finally finished a few off today!

Enjoy your friday!!

A post for Julie

Hey Miss Julie!

Here's a pic of me and your lovely sister, the delightful Karen.
We had a ball, although not much scrapping from Karen. She was mainly catching up with work, but she had a good time! No husband, kids or distractions so she relaxed, chilled out, chatted and laughed lots...not to mention the delish food we ate!! YUMMO!!

It was lovely meeting you Karen. It was a pleasure to be in your company.

Now, Julie i't's your turn...would love to meet you IRL one day!!

Another fabulous Retreat!!

Yes, when you think it can't get any better...IT DOES!!
I had a ball on the weekend and it went way too fast, even without much sleep!! LOL

It was lovely meeting Tanyah, Ness, Karen and Lucy for the very first time. Also catching up with Gyps, Scrapmanda, Lexie, Lynnie, Robyn, Delmai, Peggy, Tiddlypeep, Kim, Scrapwitch, Pammy, Sarah and Heids.
I love catching up to scrap with you all, have a few drinks, eat way too much, laugh a lot and get very little sleep! Way too much fun!

A BIG THANKS to Gyps for organising another very memorable Retreat. We wanted for nothing. Thanks heaps...you really are the hostess with the mostest...love you babe!!

Peggy, is organising a CD of everyone's pics and we'll get a huge CD full of lots of lovely pics to scrap!! :) Can't wait...there were some great shots taken!!

Here's our group...

Looking forward to the next one in November!!

I have a little bit of journalling to put on a couple of layouts, then I'll share what I did for the weekend!!

Mothers Day

I had a lovely day yesterday for Mothers Day.
I awoke to "Happy Mudders Day" from my two kidlets!

Then, Daddy, along with his two helpers, Zac and Ella made me pancakes with maple syrup, and in bed!! That was just awesome, as it never happens!! LOL

Then about mid morning we headed over to Redcliffe. Seeing it was my day, I chose to have seafood on the beach for lunch, with some fish'n'chips for Miss Ella, because prawns are YUCK!!(her words, not mine!)
So, off to Morgans we went. For the southerners reading this, Morgans is one of the BEST places to but seafood in Brisbane. The line was out the door. Apparently, I wasn't the only mother that wanted a delish seafood lunch. It took a while, but thet were so worth the wait...absolutely beautiful prawns!! I'd highly recommend them.
After lunch, we had a walk up the beach, the kids had a play and a splash in the water before wandering up the boardwalk, with the kids on their bikes. I even stopped and took a few pics along the way. Then we headed for home, with 2 weary children. I had a lovely nana nap and felty very refreshed. It was the perfect day!

Here's some pics...

Here's a digi layout I created last night from one of my favourite pics from the day!

A happy snap at home last night!!

I hope you had a wonderful Mothers Day!!

Flashback Friday

Well, it's here again...time for another flashback of me!!

I picked this photo because it's Mothers Day on Sunday.
It was taken back in July 2003, when Zac was 6 weeks old. We were at my Mum's place, and my Nana was meeting her little great-grandson for the very first time. She lived in Portland, Vic so we didn't get to see her all that much, but she made the trip up once a year, during the winter months.
It's a special photo, as my Nana passed away in May 2004...just before Mothers Day the following year.

From right to left...My Mum(Di),my Nana(Mum's Mum), Zac and me - 4 generations.

Happy 2nd Birthday Hollee

It was Hollee's 2nd Birthday Party today.
I think little Hollee had a wonderful day. She had a Wiggles Party. Like any 2yr old, she's obsessed with the Wiggles. During Pass the Parcel she was getting upset with her big sister...who was in charge of the music...for stopping it all the time. She just wanted to dance!! LOL

The big attraction was a inflatable jumping castle, with a slide that the youngerr kids could get on. The other "big" thing was their swing...not just any swing, but the biggest swing I've ever seen, and Ella and Holle went the highest on it, I think! The squealed with delight at how high they were going!

Ella

Hollee

and look how high Ella went...I nearly couldn't look!!

Zac taking a quiet moment to eat some smarties.

My little niece, Amelia.

Singing Happy Birthday...a lovely family shot!

And check out these cute little teacup yummies...I've put in my order to Lee-Ann's MIL for my kid's Birthday parties!! LOL
They are more like a little work of ART, than a yummy treat!!

A Productive weekend...

So far, it's been a very productive weekend. I've done all the housework and washing and Jase finished off part of our fence today. A friend came over and helped Jase cut down the tree that was in the way of finishing the fence off. So, he finished that section today...next is the gate!!
Here's Jase and Zac in action. Not too sure how much help Zac was...but, I did see him passing the nails to Daddy!
Now, it's my turn. Jase doesn't like painting, so that's where I come in. I've painted the rest of the fence, so I'd better dust off my paint brush and get to work this week!

On the scrapping front, I've been powering along!!
Here's what I've been up to since Friday!

A CJ entry for Leababy

A card for Hollee...a little girl's Birthday Party we are attending tomorrow!

A Layout about Autumn

A page on Miss Brooke's "True Beauty"

And lastly...a page for National Scrapbooking Day!
It's all about why I love to Scrapbook. Thanks for the Challenge Manda...a current Challenge at Scrapchat!!

We still have one day to go of our long weekend here in Qld. A quiet morning for us, then a Birthday party in the afternoon. Looking forward to it!

I hope you've had a lovely weekend!

Flashback Friday

It's Friday!! It's even more exciting than normal because it's a long weekend here in Brisbane!! Woohoo....it's our Labour day holiday for all those other states wondering why we have a holiday and you don't!!

Seeing I've been away with my cousin's last weekend, and they told me how much they LOOOOVE my Flashback Fridays....I thought I'd post one of us(me, Kylie and Nicole) in our backyard in Portland(Vic), riding our bikes.

This would have to be about 1977, by how big we were.

I know they'll love this one.
I've actually used this picture in a recent layout, so you may recognise it!!

Have a great weekend!
