The Reception

Seeing I couldn't post too many pics last night, I thought I'd share a few pics from the reception. I don't get together with my cousins and family very often, so we made the most of it. I had a fabulous weekend away, catching up. We've decided that every 2 yrs we are going to catch up for a long weekend...wherever in Australia it may be. We are all spread far and wide, with us up here in Qld, some in Melbourne and country Vic, as well as SA!! All over the place!!
I can't wait to catch up again!

Tim and Katherine's Wedding

My little cousin, Tim...who's not so little anymore...married the beautiful Katherine on Saturday 26th April at the Convent in Daylesford, Vic. Apart from the very cold weather, everything was perfect...a truly magical wedding!

I'm back!!

I'm back on warm Qld soil!! Yay!!
It was so cold down in Daylesford, Vic on Saturday and Sunday. All of 9 degrees on Saturday!! That's very cold for a sooky Qlder that loves the heat!! LOL
Daylesford is about a 90 min drive from Melbourne. A truely magical place!

I'll update you tomorrow on the wedding I attended!

My news for today is that I had an accident in my car this afternoon. After picking up the kids this morning from Grandma and Grandpa's, it was the cat's turn this afternoon. So, we set off around 3pm to head to the Cattery to pick up Reuben.

About 2km's from the cattery, at the T-intersection from hell, I ran into a lady who took off from the intersection, then jammed on the brake, for me to then hit the back of her car. She had a toeball, so it has put a hole in my radiator and broke my bumper. It's undrivable, so my poor RAV4 had to be towed. It's being assessed tomorrow. Then, I'll find out how bad the damage is....??
So, I'll have DH's car til mine's fixed, which hopefully won't be too long. I love my car!!
I had the kids with me. Zac ended up in tears, after a big fright, while Ella was a little dumbfounded to what all the fuss was about. We are all ok, which is the main thing. Thank god for insurance!

I'm packed and ready to go!!

To Melbourne that is!! I fly out at 11.30am tomorrow for Melbourne, then on to Daylesford, near Ballarat for my cousin, Tim's wedding. Zac and Ella are having a holiday at Grandma and Grandpa's, and they are very excited about it!!

I'll be catching up with plenty of family, which I'm really looking forward to. It's going to be a blast!! Have a good Anzac Day and I'll chat to you next week!

Amelia's Christening

Today we attended my little niece, Amelia's Christening. She was well behaved and didn't even cry when she was baptised. My BIL Barrie and SIL Tracey we godparents for her. It was a lovely service and then followed by lunch back at Scott and Kates.
The kids all had a ball. We don't get ALL the cousins together that often, so they had a fun day playing together! Zac and Ella both went to sleep in the car on the way home. Then back in bed early....I'm even a little weary tonight.
What is it about socialising that makes you tired?

Flashback Friday!

Maz flew out of Brisvegas this morning for Rockhampton, for the Embellished Retreat!
It's been a very busy few days, with lots of late nights!!

From my wedding 10yrs ago, in June!! It's me(of course) and my older cousin, Kylie! She was a bridesmaid at my wedding, and I'm going to see her next week...this time next week, I'll be in Daylesford, Vic, for her brother's wedding!! I can't wait!!

Guess who's come to visit...

Scrappermaz!!




I have Maz staying with me for a few days before heading up to Rockhampton for the Embellished Retreat. After a long flight from Perth last night, and a good sleep, we headed out today to show her the sights.
Firstly, we went up to Mt Cootha to see the city, which was a bit hazy. I haven't been up there for years. It's changed a bit!!
Then, into Southbank for a wander around and a relaxing lunch. Oh, and of course a photo opportunity for Maz!!

Tomorrow, we are meeting some girls from Scrapchat for some scrap shopping and lunch at Hogs Breath!! Yummo!

Menopause - The Musical

We've had a productive day today. Headed out for a family walk early, to get the paper and DH a coffee!! Our friend, Rob came over and helped Jase cut a tree down, so we can finally finish putting our fence up.
Then my BIL, Scotty popped over with my niece and nephew. It was lovely seeing them. Little Amelia is changing so much...she's becoming a real little girl now. Ella loves her. Zac and Seth had fun just playing cars!!

In between all this I cleaned the house and did 3 loads of washing.

Then a quick lunch and I headed out to see Menopause - The Musical. My sister Kellie, bought me a ticket ages ago. There was 6 of us, and we had a lovely afternoon. Well, I don't think I've laughed that hard in ages. I had tears rolling down my face. A very entertaining show that is great for women(and men) of all ages. The audience was mainly women! LOL

Flashback Friday and a visit to see Andy Warhol!

Thanks for reminding me Lucy...I nearly forgot!! School holidays here and all! I've lost track of the days!

I thought I'd go way back for today's flashback....way back to 1984!! I was 9 yrs old and was the youngest in my School Netball team at St Johns Lutheran Primary School in Portland, Vic. Some of these girls were nearly 2 yrs older than me!

I'm the one on the end...far right! My cousin, Kylie (who I'm seeing in 2 weeks time...can't wait by the way!!) is the second from the right(the WD)...the tall blonde girl!!

Zac and I had a lovely day together today. We headed off to the Museum and Science Centre, which he loved. Lots to see and do, especially in the Science Centre.
Then I saw that the Andy Warhol Exhibit was still on at the Art Gallery here in Brisbane. It was supposed to finish on March 30th but they have extended it to the end of this weekend.
So, after lunch...off we go!!
OMG!! That's my kind of ART!! So much bright colour...I LOVED IT!!
He has an amazing look at what we see everyday and think nothing of. What he does to create these pieces was amazing! I think my favourites were the Celebrities, especially the Marilyn Monroe and Jackie Kennedy pieces!! Just fabulous!






In the Kid's area at the exhibit, you can take a pic of yourself and they convert it to an Andy Warhol masterpiece and email it to you! How cool!!
I'm so glad we went!!

A page for Manda...Touch

I've had the pleasure of working on an awesome CJ of Scrapmanda's the last few nights. This CJ is themed "Touch" and you can create a layout about what "touch" means to you. There is some fabuous pages in it.
It's about to head off on it's trip home...I'm the last page in this little CJ.

Sunday Powerscrap

I did the Sunday Powerscrap Challenge at Scrapchat yesterday. The theme was Birthdays...so I scrapped a pic from Ella's 2nd Birthday last year.

I'm loving the school holidays...we didn't get out of our PJ's today til nearly 10am!

It's been a wet weekend here in Brisbane. I'm not complaining, as it's been a lazy one around here. We headed out today to the park, and it started raining, so off to the shops for a few hrs to come out to the car and it's pouring!! So, home to put Ella to bed for a sleep, Zac and Jase played the Wii and I scrapped....nearly the perfect Sunday afternoon!

Flashback Friday!!

Over the last week, I've been scanning a heap of old photos. Some really old, some not so old!!

I picked this one for today...It's me about 10 yrs ago, just married and working at Betite Hair Salon in Ipswich. I did my apprenticeship there with Madonna. Had a great time and met lots of interesting people. I was being a model for the Loreal Colour competition which runs every year!

So, this is me...


and getting my hair done!!


We didn't win, but my face(and hair) was put in the Loreal Hair Book!!

School holidays start today here in Qld...Yay!! So, the next week or so should be lots of fun. No routines, no lunches...no having to be out the door by 8.15am!! I'm excited!!
