Scrapchat CC

This weekend was the last week of Scrapchat's month long CC.
I really enjoyed logging in every Friday night to see what we'd be creating. This weekend we had plenty of challenges to keep us busy!! But, I got them all done.

Our first challenge we had to find a pic of ourselves at less than 50% of our age now. That made mine, less than 16 yrs old. I found a pic of me and my cousins, Kylie and Nicole from about 1977. I'd say I'm about 2 or 3 in this photo. I'm on the left.


This challenge we had to scrap about a significant event in the 60's.

The Bonus challenge was to create a layout using a momogram made from fabric and include stitching on it, a triangle, a stamped image and at least 2 photos. This is what I came up with!!

Layouts to share

We had the Stamp Shak Cyber crop last weekend. I thought I'd share my samples. We had a "green" theme. Green as in the "colour" and as in "recycling". Made for some fun challenges!!





I've been busy working on DT layouts for Anna's Craft Cupboard. Can't share just yet, though.
Then I have some CJ's calling my name...so I have plenty to keep me occupied!!

Easter's nearly over...

Can you believe it?
It's such a big build up to Easter and it's gone in a flash!! Back to school and work tomorrow...back to routine!!

I thought I'd share a few more pics from our Easter break. We made eggs, with food colouring and coloured with crayons. My friend Leanne told me it's a Greek tradition. The kids had fun making them...some took a little while to dye but none the less we just might do it again next year!

On Thursday before Easter it was Ella's Easter Bonnet Parade at Daycare. We quick whipped up a cute bunny bonnet on Wednesday night. Isn't she a cute little bunny?


While getting some cardboard, we came across some bunny ears. Both Zac and Ella fell in love with them. Here's a few pics with their ears...

Happy Easter

I hope you have had a lovely Easter. With only one day to go, it's gone so fast. I wish we had a few more 4 day breaks, throughout the year. We woke up to..."I've got eggs" around 6.15am this morning. Of course our two kids, Zac and Ella dined on a chocolate breakfast!!

After breaky and we headed outside to our ritual "egg hunt" in our front garden. Both kids did very well, from the Bunny and of course Aunty's, Uncle's and of course the ever spoiling grandparents!!

After our hunt at home, we headed up to Mum and Dad's for a BBQ lunch. Dad(Pa) had planned an egg hunt as well. He's a big kid at heart!! Mum and Dad live on an acre so we headed up to the bush up the back to source out some eggs!!

These cute little bundles of eggs were all around the place!!




After lunch, we had a game of backyard cricket. It's been a while since I've played cricket, but we had a ball...lots of laughs.
It was lovely to spend time with family. Something we don't get the chance to do often enough, with our lives being so busy!

A visit to Australia Zoo

We headed to Australia Zoo today, on Easter Saturday.
Zac and Ella have been counting down the days for the last few weeks...they were very excited this morning. We got there at 9am to bright sunshine, then within 10 mins it was torrensial rain. Not very impressed with that. Anyway it cleared up and the sun came out making it very humid and steamy, then more rain. I swear we couldn't win!! It ended up a lovely day with 2 very tired kids on the way home.

We went with my SIL Tracey, BIL Barrie, Mel(my niece), My Mum and Dad and my nephew Michael. Lots of walking and heaps to see. I think my favourite was the elephants. Such big, beautiful and peaceful animals. All Ella wanted to see was a koala and the Crocs!! We even had our pic taken with a koala, for Ella's benefit. I'll scan and upload it tomorrow. It's a great pic!

Busy weekend

Well, I had a very busy weekend at the Paper Arts Festival in Brisbane. I caught up with some lovely girls while I was there. Was lovely to see Sarah, Lu, Cass, Tammie and Shannon. Thanks for saying Hi to me. I got to meet some new members of The Stamp Shak forum, which was nice as well.

Then off with the School Mum's on a night out. We went to a lovely Tapas Bar and quite a few drinkies were had. I had a lovely night, Thankyou!

I also whipped up a layout on friday night for Scrapchat's 2nd week of their month long CC. Drop over on a Friday night, or this week on Thursday night to join in the fun. It was Manda's turn to host the Challenge this week and she got us to do some Hybrid scrapping. This was fun. Might have to use this more in my scrapping, I think. I like it!! I used the doodled frames that I purchased from Catscraps. They are designed by Ida if you want to take a peek!
I even used fabric for the very first time on this layout. Amazed myself really. Love this medium and will be playing with it again, too!!

Flashback friday

Well, I nearly forgot...OOps!

I've had a busy week and have been working at the Brisbane Paperarts Festival today and will be over the weekend. Then a dinner with the School Mum's tomorrow night, so all in all, a very busy one for me!!

Happy Birthday Mum!

It was my Mum's Birthday yesterday. We went out for dinner with her last night, which turned into a not so nice exerience, due to lack of service but apart from that we had a nice night.
So, I hope you had a lovely day, Mum!

We have had a reasonably quiet weekend. Dinner last night, the usual grocery shopping, some scrapping, a nana nap and a play in the park this afternoon.

Scrapchat's First Cyber Crop

Flashback Friday!!

It's friday again!! You know what that means!!

This photo was taken back in February 1998...10 yrs ago!!
I was down in Portland, Vic for my cousin, Kylie's wedding, and a few months before my own wedding. I went and visited my Aunty and Uncle out on their cattle farm and got conned in to feed out the hay. I loved helping out doing this as a kid. So, I did it for old times sake...LOL!!
Was heaps of fun. My Aunty and Uncle still have the farm down there and I still love visiting it, even now! Last time we were there my Aunty took the kids for a ride on the motorbike. Ella was only 16 mths and Zac was 3!

Weekend Wrap and a Tag!!

We had a nice home weekend this past weekend. Didn't do much, but it was nice. My sister Kellie came over on Saturday to take a few pics. Mum has asked us for a photo of each of us and she won't tell us why?? Hmmm...that's got both of us thinking?!
