Swimming lessons

We started swimming lessons today. Zac is now in a group all by himself...no Mum in with him anymore. Not a baby anymore! He had a ball. He's the only boy in his group, but he didn't mind. He loved it! He's been so excited about it for over a week, now, so the build up was all worth it!! He wants to go again tomorrow!

Ella did well, for her first time. She went under straight away, and it didn't seem to phase her. She loves singing the songs. I have to hop in with her, and she loves that!! She did everything she was supposed to, even jumped in from the edge.
It's all very exciting!

I'll take the camera next week!

A quick layout share as well. I did the sketch competition for this month over at LSBS. Here's my layout...my nephew, Michael! I love this photo of him!

I'm still here!

I'm still here...I've had a busy few days. I've worked on Mum's stand The Stamp Shak, at the Quilt and Craft Fair on Saturday and Sunday. Lots of people to chat to, share ideas with and teaching them how to use products. We were nice and busy, just what every retailer wants to be!
I got to do a little shopping, which is always nice. I like this show, because it has lots of beading and jewellery, as well...one of my other loves.

So, look out I'll be all glammed up, shortly!! Just have to find some time!

Just mundane tasks today...housework and grocery shopping!! How exciting...NOT!

I'm going to do some scrapping tonight, once the kids head to bed! Had an early night last night, as I was tired from the weekend, to be woken by a huge storm in the early hours this morning. Not a great start to the day. Didn't bother the kids though, they seemed to sleep through most of it.

Will have something to share tomorrow.

Quick layout share...

Just a quick post today, to share a few layouts.
These I've done in the last week or so.

Our future star??

This was a challenge on my yahoo group...and quite a challenge it was. I don't use green and purple together much! The photo I took at my Mum and Dad's a few weeks ago!

This one I did in an online class with Louise Spiden. A fundraiser for Crop for Kids at the Royal Mebourne hospital...a worthwhile cause! Zac had an obsession with Travis and his hair on Big brother this year...hence the "Travis hair" layout!!

A page for the delighful Ali. It was a photo swap with a pic from her recent Fiji holiday!

Lots on the "to do" list

Is your "to do" list ever growing? Mine seems to be of late. I feel like I'm not getting anywhere. But, I'll soldier on and see how I go!

Here's a few things on my list...

Finally booked the kids into swimming lessons, after much nagging from Zac! They start next Tuesday at 8.30am...so the Jamieson house will up and about early!

Zac has been accepted into the Primary school we originally wanted, which has been a huge relief. After interviews and waiting lists, we finally know what we're doing next year! So, I'm sure uniforms, books, lunchboxes and a schoolbag will be on the shopping list shortly.

I've received my first box of goodies today, for my new Design Team job, so I'll have to get creative. Lots of lovely papers for me to play with, which is very exciting!

I have set myself a task of completing my Christmas shopping before Dec 1st, so when the kids break up from school, I'm not fighting the crowds. Off to do a bit more tomorrow I think. Have done most of the nieces and nephews, just have adults to go!
I WILL get it finished....well, that's the plan anyway!

We have been toilet training Ella, for a while now, and really hope her to be out of nappies by Christmas. So far so good...it seems PERSISTANCE is the key in this department. We are doing everything on the toilet now, and even telling Mum and Dad when we need to go. This is extremely exciting!! I will be very glad to throw away the nappies.

So, there you have it...I've got my work cut out for me!!
And this is just a few of the things on my list...Wish me luck!

I've completed a CJ entry for the lovely Kebab(Donna) in her "I must confess" album, today. Hope you like it!!

Southern visitors

I've been to the Gatton Speedway since I last posted. My Dad has a Dwarf car that he races at the Speedway, so we headed up to Gatton for his first night of racing for this season. He did quite well, coming second overall for the night. He was happy! He has a new motor in it, so it takes a bit of tinkering to get the set-up just right...well, that was his excuse anyway! Hopefully he might go one better at the next meet.

I got out there to find my Uncle Graeme(Dad's brother and my godfather) was there to watch Dad race. He lives in Portland, Vic and were up for Indy. So he headed out to Gatton from the Gold Coast for the racing. A total surprise to me, but it was great to see him.

My Uncle and Aunty were up at Indy with a young Japanese driver named Akuri, who is staying with them and races in the Ozcar class. He drove alright, and was offered a job driving for Paul Morris Racing here in Brisbane, which they are all very excited about!

So, today my Uncle Graeme, Aunty Jenny, my cousin Kristi with her daughter Skye and Akuri popped in and spent a few hours with us before heading to the airport to fly home. Ella loved Skye, and Zac had Akuri playing Xbox, which he enjoyed!
It was nice catching up with them. It doesn't happen too often.

Here's my Aunty Jenny and the gorgeous little Skye. She's 10 mths old now! She is such a happy little girl. She has changed so much since I last saw her back in January. I got a cuddle and a few kisses, she's very willing to give kisses away!

Exciting news!!

I have a little bit of exciting news to share...Bet you are all wondering what it is??

I've been asked to be on another Design Team with Anna's Craft Cupboard. Anna has a beautiful big online store and is based in Perth.
My first box of goodies is postal....Woohoo!! My first project, I'll keep a surprise. Can't tell you everything!! LOL

I've known Anna for about 12 mths, and she asked me if I'd like to do some DT work for her Gallery. Of course I said "Yes"!!

Promise I'll share, once I've created some exciting new projects.

Welcome Little Miss Amelia Rose

There is a new addition to our growing family. A gorgeous little girl named Amelia Rose, who made her entrance to the world on Saturday 13th October at 5am. She nearly shared the same Birthday as her Uncle Jason, but missed out by 5 hrs!!
She weighed a very little 5lb 12oz(I think)...either way, she was very little! Mum and bub are doing very well. She is a new sister to Griffin(8) and Seth(16mths). A beautiful little niece to Jase and I and a little cousin for Zac and Ella.

Here's a few pics...

With her daddy...

With Uncle Jase and cousin, Zac

and with Aunty Chelle...

Isn't she just adorable?

Girls Night In Fundraiser

The night finally arrived last night, for Girls Night In, hosted by Little Scrapbook Shop. Our events organiser, the lovely Amanda(Scrapmanda), did an amazing job of organising the night. The food was delicious, especially the Chocolate fountain, and the cupcakes were pretty good, too.

I won a handbag in one of the lucky door prizes, which was fabulous!! I caught up with lots of girls I haven't seen in ages, or met before. I have to confess, I did a lot more talking than scrapping. I'm usually a power scrapper, and get heaps done, but not last night...there was too much going on!!

I had a great time, with just on $1200 raised for Women's Cancer, which was fabulous!

Here are some pics...

Happy Birthday Jase!

Happy Birthday to my dear husband, Jason. He's hit the mid-thirties today!!

Zac and Ella woke him early for presents and cards. They LOVE Birthdays!! We headed out for a Birthday dinner with Darrin, Bryce and Lucy, and had a lovely evening.

A tradition in our house is to get a Birthday cake, but seeing we had dinner out tonight, the mud cake will have to wait til tomorrow night! LOL The kids have already asked Daddy when we're having cake. We were all too full tonight!

Layout Share

I did the Cyber crop over at Scrap Therapy, last weekend. I got all 4 Challenges done. It was nice to scrap for me...I've had some much going on with Design Team stuff for the shop, that I feel I haven't been able to just sit and do whatever.

and a Friendship card...

Not much else to share. We went out shopping today to get a birthday present for someone special...I'll let you know who it is, in a few days.

How cute are these guys?

We had a trip up to Mum and Dad's today, up at Ipswich. They live out of town and these cute little guys live up the corner as you drive in to the Estate...it's semi-rural out there. One of these ponies was up at the fence, and Zac and Ella love these ponies, so we had to stop. Lucky I had the camera!

Most are Shetlands, I think. Some are still very fluffy. It's like the are confused with the weather, and have only just started shedding their winter coats!

They were very friendly. As soon as we hopped out of the car, the closet one came over to the kids, with the others soon following. They love all the attention. Zac and Ella loved it and couldn't wait to tell Nana all about it.

Surf's Up and a Sleepover

We've had my niece, Melanie over since yesterday morning. I took Mel, Zac and Ella to see Surf's Up yesterday afternoon. A nice story, all about surfing penguins!

Then home to play, homemade pizza and a sleepover. Zac and Ella crashed early. A BIG day for the two of them, with no afternoon sleeps! Up early, but nothing the cartoons won't entertain before I arose!! LOL

I took a few pics yesterday afternoon...
