Lovely Leish, who's an Aussie living in NY ,is on a Design Team for an American Scrapbooking site, 2 Croppin Cousins. They are currently recruiting new members, as the site is only new. L/O Share

It was overcast and windy in Brisbane today...with about 10 drops of rain! So, a good indoors day. Jase took Zac off to the movies to see The Robinsons. Both came home raving about it, so must have been good. So, I took use of the quiet day Daddy and the kids were having watching Happy Feet, which I bought it yesterday. I finished off a L/O and did my Music ATC Swap I'm in at Scrapbooking Memories Forum. I chose INXS, and put a bit of info on the back and a nice piccy. Turned out well!



While we are on the Music subject....I finished my L/O that I did of my beloved ROBBIE WILLIAMS Concert!!
I used Urban Lily Rock Star papers...I think they were made for this L/O!! I just LOVE this...one of my favourites!!



I have a few L/O's I've completed up my sleeve, but I won't share them all just yet. Might do one a day...just so you keep visiting me! :)

Tagged again!!

I've been tagged again, by Andrea this time...so thought I'd share another 7 Random Facts about me. I think everyone I know in the Blogging world has been tagged this past week, so I promise not to tag anyone.

Here we go...

1. I had a Welsh Mountain pony named Sunny growing up on the farm in Portland, Vic.

2. I've only ever been booked for speeding 3 times. That's quite a feat for a 32 yr old. All have been since I turned 30!!

3. I drive a Toyota Rav 4 and LOVE it!!

4. I've travelled to Bali, Vanuatu, and Fiji in my lifetime. Hoping to add to that list in coming years!

5. I don't like Snakes.

6. I LOVE "The Rock" and "Vin Diesel" movies. They are actors if you were wondering...:)

7. I have assorted taste in Music - anything from Lee Kernaghan to Robbie Williams!

ANZAC DAY

We had a quiet day for ANZAC Day. We went to Southbank for a walk around and the kids had some fun on the Playground. We then had lunch - good ole Fish'n'Chips...and it was delicious! We then headed home so the kids could have a sleep before taking Jason to the Airport. He's in Melbourne til Friday night with work.

While they were all sleeping, I watched the Dawn Service at Gallipoli, Turkey. It was such a moving Ceremony. Imagine what it would be like to be there...just once. I think I might have to put this on my Lifetime "To Do" list. Every year I am more and more Thankful for what our ANZAC's did for our country, that we are Free today. It was very courageous to go off to war and not know if you'd ever come home.

I watched a story on A Current affair last night about men that lied about their age to go to war. They were the Under 16's..but most were only 14 yrs old. They talked about the first person they killed and being only a boy. I couldn't imagine...they were very upset telling their stories, and tears were welling up in my eyes. Amazing courage from amazing people. I don't think my generation would be quite so willing to run off to war.

To top of the day, I watched Collingwood and Essendon do battle in the ANZAC Day clash. A great tribute to the diggers at the start and then a good result with Collingwood winning. Not that I like Collingwood(can't stand them), but I had them in my footy tips. LOL :)

Ouch - It's a Winner!

Well, when I got home from my weekend away on Sunday night, I found out my layout won the Sketch comp! How exciting...just thought I'd share!

Scrapping Weekend away at Mt Tamborine

I spent last weekend away at Mt Tamborine, for a Scrapping weekend with some of the Brisbane girls from Scrapbooking Memories forum. What a fun weekend! Scrapping non-stop, with no kids or husbands to interupt me. We only stopped to eat...oh and to sleep, eventually!

Most of the girls I had met before, so it was great catching up with Manda(Scrapmanda), Karen(Gypsyangel), Heidi(Miss cropalot), Robyn(Binrow) and Renae(Renaecrosby). It was lovely to meet Karen(Lexhar), Sarah(Frangipani), Lynnie(Lynnie) and Ros. Lynnie and her friend Ros, travelled down from Gympie for the event, and they had a blast too!

We scrapped, shopped at Lisa's(Gibsongang) shop at Oxenford and played Singstar! It was maiden Singstar attempt...and it was fun!! I took on Renae, and she is seriously professional!! But, I did sneak past her in the points tally to Robbie Williams "Kids" song he did with Kylie. Helps if you know the song, I reckon!!

I took a heap of photos, but somehow when I downloaded them on to my puter on Sunday night, they have vanished off my camera and computer!! Most annoying, but I know the girls who went took plenty and Karen is going to compile a Cd of all the pics for each of us to keep. Thank goodness!

Weekend Update

Well, this last weekend has been a blur!!

Friday I worked at the Gold Coast Craft Show for my Mum's online store, The Stamp Shak. From there headed to Scrapbook City to say a quick Hi to the lovely Alicia, who is home from New York on holiday. Then home and Little Scrapbook Shop were having their Cyber crop this weekend. So, even got a Layout done on the first night -that's unheard of, for me!! And it turned out fabulous - must have had been inspired by all the beautiful work at the Craft show!

I got three challenges done.







Not much on for Saturday and Sunday we took the kids to the park, and for Zac to ride his bike...he's getting pretty good now! After lunch, headed down to my sister's for the afternoon, while our other halves went and played golf. Jase won and is still talking about it! While Kellie and I created our money boxes that we bought at a craft show, late last year. We've been talking about doing them for ages and hadn't got around to it.

Play Date

Grandma and Cousin Melanie came to our local park for a Play date today, while Mel was still on school holidays. Ella was quite happy being pushed in the pram, while Zac and Mel rode their bikes and they all played on the big fort. Heaps of fun and laughs! Zac and Ella slept for 3 hours this afternoon after their big morning. Should do it more often! LOL :)

Family photo

I really don't take family photos often enough. So, this will be my quest...to have family shots of us, as the kids grow and change, even if everyone moans and groans. So, Thanks Kel for taking these on Easter Monday at Mum and Dad's. :)

It all started because I was taking pics of her hair - her curls.






and Ella's new thing - is standing in front of the TV when somebody is watching it - most annoying. And the little devil won't move!! She is very strong willed - she is a girl, after all!

Hope the Easter Bunny came...

to you this morning. He found our house ok. Zac and Ella were left plenty of eggs by the Big Bunny. Ella hooked straight in, demolishing at least 3 eggs before breakfast. It really is the only time of year you can chocolate for breakfast.

So, after brekky, we headed out to the front yard for a egg hunt. Zac had so much fun doing it last year, we had to do it again. Zac was finding them for Ella and filling his pockets as well. :)

Happy Easter!

I have been a bad blogger, and haven't blogged for a week. Note to self - to blog more regularly!

Just a quick one today to wish everyone a very Happy Easter! Make sure you eat lots of chocolate, I know I will be - any excuse for chocolate! Having a huge cleanout at home over Easter, but will get a little time to scrap, of course!
