Girls Night out!!

Last night I got together with the girls from Serendipity Scrapbooking. As Nicole is heading overseas, we had a farewell dinner. She'll be gone a year at least. Gonna miss that girl!!

We had a great time out at LITSE restaurant. Great food and Great company...what else can you ask for?

Good luck Nicole and Ken, have a fabulous time!!

It's my Birthday today...November 28th!!

Haven't had a fabulous Birthday as yet, but it can only get better. I'm off to dinner with some scrapping girlfriends tonight and can't wait!!

Just love Christmas...

Yep...our Christmas tree went up today!! I know, I'm a few days early, but Zac and Ella have been so excited about Christmas and putting up the tree, that I gave in today!! Zac was the decorator this year, with a little help from Mummy to even out the Christmas baubles. I didn't think you could get about 4 on one branch? Apparently, you can! Ella had more fun climbing in and out of the Santa sacks.

We bought some new decorations last weekend. We've gone with gold decorations this year(no tinsel)...and it looks very noice!! Might even add a little more to it yet, not sure??
Each year the kids get to buy a decoration for the tree...something a bit special. This year they picked cute reindeers. They are very cute. They have good taste! Zac took Daddy over to the tree tonight and told him who's decoration was who's!! Daddy told Zac he was glad he knew what was going on.

We put some presents under the tree, too. Ella only unwrapped one...my niece Melanie's. I've already re-wrapped it Mel, so you won't miss out!! It could be a long 4 weeks til Christmas!
I may need some more Christmas paper...better put that on the list! LOL

Birthday dinner!!

It's my birthday this week, so decided to have have a Birthday dinner a little early. My Birthday always falls at a very busy time of year, with Christmas parties and get togethers!! So, we had it last night!!

It was a family affair, and I had a great time!

My batteries in my camera went flat, hence why I'm doing this post a day late!!

We went to Avanti at Bardon. It's a nice Italian place with heaps of pasta on the menu...YUM!! I ate plenty and couldn't fit dessert in...what's going on with that?? Pasta will do that to you!! LOL

I'm nearly finished!

I'm nearly finished my Christmas shopping and it feels good!! I made a promise with myself to have it all done by December 1st...I think I may just do it!!

I've been out this morning and have finished all the kids, just have a few tricky adults to go! Then, I can concertrate on finishing my Christmas cards and a few scrappy presents!! Oh the joy!! :)

Here's the first layout I've done since last weekend. I think I overdosed on scrapping last weekend, so haven't done much this week. Love these pics of Zac at my nephew Michael's, School fete in September. He had 3 turns on the jumping castle!!

Some work to share...

So, these are some of the projects I got finished while away on the weekend.

We also had some challenges to complete. Like a jigsaw puzzle piece, a big playing card, a card sketch and I also got a heap of Christmas cards made. Might share them with you tomorrow. Have to take a piccy yet. I also started a special 6x6 album for someone special...can't tell you who, because they read my blog. I also did some special Christmas presents that I can't show, because they also read my blog and I'll be giving away some surprises! You'll just have to wait!! :)

My BIG weekend away

Wow...what an awesome time I had! I had a ball with the gorgeous girls from SM forum and Scrapchat forum. We laughed, ate, drank alcholic slushies, took heaps of pics, slept very little, shopped and of course scrapped!! What a BIG weekend!!

It was lovely meeting a few new girls. Delmai, Kim, Anne-Marie and Carol were all lovely ladies, who had a great time. Then the girls from the Mt Tamborine weekend of Amanda, Sarah, Lynnie, Heidi, Karen(gyps), Karen(Lexie) and Robyn. It was great seeing Peggy again and Lucy, who had travelled all the way from the Central coast, NSW. That's dedication for you. She had a wonderful time and she and David have loved their Qld holiday...not sure if we've coaxed them to move up here just yet! LOL

I had very little sleep on Friday night...actually none was more accurate!! My partners in crime kept me laughing all night. Thanks Delmai and Robyn! We tried taking some sunrise pics but a big storm brewing out to sea stopped that. It was fun anyway.

Today's the day!!

Well, the car's packed and I'm ready to go. Can't wait to see "the girls" again. I have so much fun with these wonderful ladies. Love them all!!

There's been a fatality on our major highway north, The Bruce Highway and it's closed til lunchtime. A truck loaded with gas bottles hit a car head on, and it erupted into a fireball. Very sad. So, I've got my directions to go another way...wish me luck and hope I make it for lunch on time!! :)

Thought I'd share two layouts I did while "packing" my scrap stuff for this weekend. Obviously I wasn't in the packing mood...I was in a creating one!!





I also have to wish my little sister, Kellie a very Happy 30th Birthday for today!! She's living it up in Sydney this weekend. I've seen her this morning, she waved to me at Sunrise, at Martin Place!! Have a great weekend Kel and Dino!!

One more sleep...

Tomorrow I am heading up to the Sunshine Coast for a weekend away scrapping. We are all friends who have met online on various scrapping sites. There is 15 of us going, some I have met before and some I am meeting for the first time. We went away in April to Mt Tamborine, so this is our second getaway for the year! I love getting together with these girls, it's so much fun!! They make me laugh. And what a way to spend a weekend...with lots of scrapping, a few drinks and singstar!!

We are heading to a big beachouse, on the beach(of course...or it wouldn't be a beachouse!LOL) with a pool. Sounds like a dream destination!! No hubby, no kids just lots of wonderful friends to scrap with...I can hardly wait!!

I'm all packed, ready to go!!

Prep Orientation day

Today we went to school for Zac's Orientation day for Prep next year. He was so excited, and had a great morning. He met his teachers and some classmates.

We are all fitted for uniforms, which we did today. Zac looked so little trying on his school shirts. My little man is growing up. That's another job out of the way. Lots to do when a littlie is starting for the first time, although they make it reasonably easy. Our booklist is in and uniforms ordered. All we really need to do is buy a lunchbox and some school shoes.

I pick up uniforms in two weeks time and Zac's books get delivered to our door at the beginning of December, all ready for me to cover and label.

Talk about being super organised!!

Only 2 more sleeps til I head to the Sunshine Coast to see all my Scrap buddies for a fun weekend...Can't wait guys!

A Surprise dinner

I've had a busy few days. Had a busy run around day on friday while the kids were at daycare, then yesterday my Mum's online store The Stamp Shak had a clearance sale, so I was up at 5am to get there early for setup, so the doors could open at 9am! It was a good day, cleared lots, but still lots to go! I saw my friend Karen(Lexie) and had a good chat. I'll see her again this weekend at our Girls Scrapping getaway up the Sunshine coast! So, looking forward to this!!

My younger sister, Kellie turns 30 on Friday 16th November, but she's going to Sydney next weekend, so her partner, Nadine planned a Surprise dinner at the Thai restaurant near her place with family! Lots of fun...she didn't suspect a thing until just before they left home, wondering why she had to dress up?? The plan was hatched to have dinner at Nadine's sister, Chris' place, but she had to pick up entree's at the Thai restaurant. We were all there ready and waiting. The plan was obvious when Kellie pulled into the 15 min parking spot outside the restaurant and Nadine told her she couldn't park there. All was exposed and she caught sight of us all in the restaurant. She was thrilled and had a great night.

Melbourne Cup day

So, how'd you go? Back a winner?
Well, I certainly didn't. Mine are all still running...actually no, I did have Mahler for 3rd place. It's all in the fun of it though. I love the Melbourne Cup. The fashion, horses, the excitement...it's what it's all about!!
The kids and I had swimming lessons early this morning. It is cool and wet here today, so after swimming home for nice warm showers and settled in to watch Melbourne Cup day on TV.

Family Photos

I usually send out a family photo of us, to lots of family and friends in their Christmas cards. Today was the day to do it...because I need to get started on some Christmas presents!! We went down to Rocks Riverside park near my sister, Kellie's place. It's a beautiful park, a nice place for some photos.

Off to do some shopping, lunch and then back to Kellie's for a swim. It was so hot today, so we all felt very refreshed and the kids had a ball.

The Stamp Shak forum

Hi everyone!
