Busy, Busy, Busy!

Last weekend was a blur...so much to fit in!!

I worked friday, as usual. Jase was expected from Melbourne about 11pm, and didn't get in til 1am, due to a delayed flight!!

What a happy camper he was when the new furniture for Zac's room arrived on Saturday morning at 7.30am!! Up he got and started putting everything together. Then we decided that Ella would be better in Zac's room, to make for more room for the big boy bed...Ella had the bigger room, you see!!
So, more moving!! Putting toys from one room to the other!! Zac had a Birthday party to go to at midday. His little friend Georgia, from Preschool turned 4. So, I talked Daddy into taking Zac to the party, so I could finish the bedrooms. Got most done!!

Aunty Kel picked the kids up for a sleepover around 3pm, as my brother-in-law, Scott and his now fiance, Kate were having their Engagement party on Sat night. I was exhausted when I got there, but had a fun night. Catching up with friends and having a few drinks!

Felt ordinary on sunday...must be getting old! I don't seem to recover so well these days!
Housework and mountains of washing on Monday, and all back to normal today.

I just took these shots of the kids in their new beds.

Zac in his big boy bed - a single bed. he was in the Toddler bed before, which Ella now has. Yay...finally got rid of the cot!

Ella has to sleep with baby(her doll) and Daisy, her puppy! LOL

Looking forward to doing some scrapping tonight!

Big Boy bed

Everyone is recovering well from all the sickness, here in our house. We are slowly getting back to normal.

We went shopping on Saturday morning for a new bed for Zac. He's been in a Toddler bed since just before Ella was born, as we needed the cot. So, now Ella is ready for a bed, she'll go into the Toddler bed. So, the hunt was on. I'd found some beds online, so we headed down to Underwood to check them out. We got him a bedroom package with a bed, a trundle(for sleepovers), tallboy and a bedside table. A really nice set, so he'll be right for a while now!!
It all gets delivered next saturday. Fun ahead then...We'll be rearranging the house!!
I don't have anything for a single bed...so new sheets, etc are in order also. Thank goodness his doona is a single, so I get out of that!! But, Zac has requested a Spiderman doona cover. We'll see if we can find one!

Apart from that, not a lot going on. Watched the Lions win this afternoon...a good win, too!

I did some scrapping. I'm in a photo swap over at Scrapbooking Memories Forum, and my partner this month was the very talented Melissa...aka poppysmum. I've scrapped 2 pics for Mel!! Have fun creating both these L/O's!!

Not much else happening. Jase is off to Melbourne on Wednesday and won't be back til very late friday night, so it'll be just the kids and I.

My first Blood Donation

Today Jason was home early from work...he's got the flu. A little self-inflicted, but we won't go there!

Anyway, while the kids had their sleep this afternoon, I dashed out to do the groceries. Down at our local shopping centre, the Red Cross Blood bus was there. I've usually got kids with me, or a cold, etc, but today I thought "I'm doing it!".
So, I went and made an appointment and gave my very first blood donation. The longest part is doing an interview to make sure you are a suitable donor. Taking the blood is the easy part. They take 500ml blood. It looks a huge amount in the bag. The bus was such a hive of activity, with a line up to give a donation. Men and women, young and old...really good to see. The girls were lovely and made you feel really at ease.

So, I've made my very first blood donation and feel really good about it. I'm going to try and give blood every 3 mths. You can only do it every 3 mths, so you don't overdo it. That way you have replenished what they have taken.

So, I've helped someone in Australia today. It may save a life one day, and you never know when it may be your own.

Another weekend's over...

Can you believe we are in the middle of July...halfway through the year already?
Time is flying by, very fast!

Ella is much better. Her eyes have cleared up and she is in much better spirits. We haven't got up to much this weekend, and I think she's better for it.
Daddy headed to a country Race meeting at Esk, with some friends and had a great day. The LSBS CC was on over the weekend, so I got a few L/O's done, which was good.

We headed out to the park this afternoon, so the kids could have a run around. Zac is getting good at riding his bike, so Daddy took the training wheels off...He's not that good yet. I think he needs some more confidence in his riding, so Daddy put them back on. Then threw the frisbee and kicked the ball. Nice to get some fresh air.

Here's the L/O's I did for the CC.

This one is a CJ for Dee. It's a contact book with everyone's name and addresses.

And this tag is for the NEW Scrapchat website. It's a Contact card for members, so you can find addresses, etc.

The back has all my details. So, look out ladies who are in this swap...one of these will be hitting your letterbox shortly. ;)

Zac's 4th Birthday was last weekend, but we had family away for the school holidays, so decided to postpone it til this weekend. Zac has been counting down the sleeps til today. We had one very excited 4yr old this morning. Off to our local park for lots of games, fun and a sausage sizzle for lunch!

Zac and Ella got right into character. They both LOVE dressing up!

Here are some pics.

I've been Tagged!!

I've been tagged, by the lovely Amanda!

Here's the deal:
1-post these rules
2-each person tagged must post 8 random (... hopefully interesting) facts about themselves
3-tags should write a blogpost of these facts
4- at the end of the post 8 more bloggers are tagged and named
5-go to their blog and leave a comment telling them they're tagged

Here are my 8 random facts...

1. I moved out of home when I was 19, to move in with 2 boys...One of which is now my husband!!

2. I was a Marching girl, when I was little. I travelled all around Victoria competing in Marching competitions.

3. I have one sister(younger), named Kellie.

4. I got a pony for Christmas, when I was about 8 or 9. A few yrs ago, I asked Dad how he got the pony there for Christmas morning, as it wasn't there the day before...he had hidden it at the neighbours farm across the road, and walked her over to our paddock in the middle of the night!! Cool, hey?

5. I got my Drivers licence first go!

6. I'm a Sports nut...Love it!! AFL, especially, but I'll watch anything, except golf - boring!

7. I drive a Toyota RAV4.

8. My favourite TV show is LOST!!

My very first Scuba dive

While in the Whitsundays...over a month ago now...Jase and I did a boat trip to the Outer reef. It was 100km's out to sea, a long way out. They take you to a big pontoon at Knuckle reef. It took 2 hr 30mins to get there.
On the way out, the crew were talking about all the activites you could do out on the pontoon. Things like snorkelling, get a massage, have a go on the waterslide, relax, eat, go on a glass bottom boat or semi-submersible(sp?) with the marine biologist, have a helicopter ride over the reef or go scuba diving. I was planning to go snorkelling out at the reef. After the divers did ther talk, I turned to jase and said I want to do that, and he said the same. They made you feel very relaxed about it and it looked like heaps of fun. I'm always one to have a go at something once and what a place to do it, on the Great Barrier Reef.
So, with a quick tutorial on breathing underwater in the dive centre , we were off. Once you realise you don't breathe through your nose, you're right. It's all about the mouth and once you get that you're right. We had a great instructor, Leilani, who held our hands until we felt ok about going off on our own.
The fish are so bright and beautiful. And the coral...just amazing. We are so lucky to have this in sunny Qld. It's something that may not be around for much longer with global warming and the ocean temp's rising. It was an awesome experience, one I won't forget.
This trip was definately the highlight of our holiday. I'd highly recommend it.

Here's a few pics...
This is a pic of Seaflight and the pontoon.(I didn't take these pics, the onboard photographer did with his awesome underwater camera!)

An aerial view

Jase, Leilani(our instructor) and me

Jason had an encounter with Wally, a Maori Wrasse. A huge fish that lives out on the reef. As we were swimming past him, the photographer pushed him towards Jase and got some awesome pics. This is just one of them.

L/O Share

I haven't been sharing much on my blog lately...too much else to talk about.

I just went back through my posts and I haven't told you about my First Scuba Dive, while I was on holidays in the Whitsundays. Promise to do that tomorrow, and I have some cool pics to share as well.

Ok, on to layouts...I've done heaps, so will share a few at a time.

This one was inspired by my friend, Lisa, aka Witch. She creates awesome L/O's using paint, so I had a go at it. Happy with the result.

This was before Christmas, and Ella fell asleep in her highchair. How cute?

This is from my holiday to Vic in January...still scrapping these pics. Heaps to go.

I'm also going to wish the QUEENSLANDERS Good Luck for tonight. Let's hope they squash the Cockies in a whitewash!! Go Boys!!

Let's ride!

Yesterday we went over to visit Daddy at work. He was entering the dreaded stocktake figures into the system. A very long process, but it's all completed and Jase has a weight lifted off his shoulders.
Busy week for him. he flew to Adelaide today, Melbourne tonight and is there til at least Wednesday. Might be home to watch Origin 3 with me...Who knows??
He's sure clocking up the Freq Flyer miles at the moment.

So, we took the bikes over to Jase's work. It's in a big industrial area, so there's plenty of concrete to ride on out the front. Zac loves going over there to ride.

Here's some pics...

Jase and I were sitting on the step watching the kids play and ride their bikes. We both can't get over how much Ella has grown up. She's definately not a baby anymore. Our little girl thinks she can do everything her big brother can. She's very strong willed...a bit like her Mum!! LOL
