Happy Birthday

to me! Yes, I turned 32 yesterday! Time is passing by so fast, feels like I've just had a Birthday!!

Woke up to Daddy and Zac singing "Happy Birthday" around 6am with Ella giggling at the two of them. Very sweet!!

Worked all day yesterday - extremely busy in lead up to Christmas. Headed off to do a very quick groc shop, pick up a cake(Zac had to pick it - we got Caramel mudcake - good choice!!) then home before a friend arrived. Jase headed back to Melbourne this morning(with the friend) for work, til friday!

So, made an easy salad, had mudcake and we drank a beautiful bottle of wine and watched the Finale of Dancing with the Stars. Good night!

I got my present a few weeks ago. Jase bought me a new camera - Fuji Finepix s5600. Very happy with it, taken a thousand pics of course!

Got a nice surprise this morning, after dropping Jase off at the airport. Only checked my phone messages this morning from yesterday. There was a message from the lady that owns my LSS and asked me if I'd like to be on their Design Team. She saw what I was doing at the crop last Friday night and was impressed.
Of course...I said "Yes"!! So, get my first kit on Friday!! Woo Hoo!

All in all, it was a pretty good Birthday!

My sweet little daughter

Well, she can be, sometimes. I took this pic earlier in the week. I was putting the dishes away, and putting some in the Tupperware drawer, when Ella decided it needed cleaning out! She pulled most of it out, so she could make room to get in the drawer. Here is the pic I took, just couldn't resist on this one!

My sweet little daughter turning into a monster! Can I say she didn't pick any of it up either!

Eventful weekend

We had another eventful weekend. Zac had his Kindy Graduation on Friday night. Let me tell you...I'm glad I'm not a Kindy teacher. Miss Jess and Miss Bec, (Zac's Teacher's)had 30 3-4 yr olds to control, and they had their work cut out for them. Although, it all went off really well. There was 106 people who attended and it was extremely crowded, but the kids gave us all a few giggles. Zac was the "Little boy down the lane" in Baa Baa Black sheep, but decided he didn't want to cooperate at the last minute, and went all quiet. Then decided he wanted to sing the remaining of the songs! You can't pick what they'll do, that's for sure! This pic is of Zac and his friend Will. Will said the farewell and Zac was there for moral support. His teacher Jessie is also in the pic.

Saturday we had sport and Zac is learning Basketball at the moment. He loves anything he tries...I think he'll enjoy sport when he gets older. I took a pic of him shooting for goal.

Once it's finished we have to have a play on the playground, goes without saying. He actually climbed a tree and of course me, camera ever ready took this snapshot!

We looked after my nephew Saturday night, while his parents were at a work Christmas party. Look out...they have begun - The long run of Christmas parties!!

Sunday afternoon we headed off to my sister, Kellie's place and stayed for a Birthday dinner. Kel's Birthday was last Thursday the 16th and Mine is next tuesday the 28th! By the way, Happy Birthday Kel, she's nearly at a milestone Birthday. Should I tell? She'll kill me if I do, so I won't, seeing she reads my blog!! So, after we had dinner we of course had cake....Beesting cake from the Cheesecake shop...Yummo!! Headed home about 9pm with two very weary children.

So, that about wraps up my weekend...:-)

My "Elsie" Mini book

It was nice waking up this morning to some light rain, not that it lasted long. So, while Ella had her morning sleep, Zac and I went out and mulched our front garden. It looks and smells great now. All ready for Summer!!

I've finally finished my Mini Book I made in Elsie's class at the Sydney Paper Arts Festival. I'm very happy with the result. Loving that KI Memories Paper!

The last photo is the felt pouch we made to house our little Mini book. For someone that doesn't sew very often, I think it turned out pretty good. I'm not really into felt, but now knowing what you can do with it...I may have fiddle and see what I can come up with!

Christmas photos

Another weekend passes by, bringing us ever closer to Christmas! Guess what? I actually started my Christmas shopping this weekend. Hallelujah! With only 7 weeks to go, I've got a lot to do.

While getting some more pics developed at Harvey Norman on Friday, I discovered the camera I wanted for Christmas was on special. I now have my Birthday and Christmas present for this year and I'm so excited!! I bought a Fuji Fine pix s5600 and love it!! I've been taking lots of pics!!
We went in to Roma St Parklands yesterday to take some photos to put in with our Christmas cards. Seeing all the grass was wet, we took them on this seat.

Little scrapbook Shop had their November Cyber crop over the weekend and I managed to get Challenge one done. There were sketches for both L/O's and cards, so I did one for both. My L/O is of Scrapwitch and me, in Elsie's class, last weekend. Love how this turned out. My favourite is the big white flowers which I made from acetate and then painted the edges(Thanks to Elsie's book!).

My card was a sketch also, but had to be non traditional colours. The purple and silver went together beautifully.

Another week is beginning, and I promise I'll share my pics of Elsie's mini book tomorrow. Jase is away in Melbourne this week, yet again, but the kids and I have a busy one as well.

Lots to share

After making my post on Monday, I found out my "You and me...together we will always be" L/O from a few posts ago, WON a Doodling competition on Little Scrapbook Shop. I really liked that L/O, so was very excited upon hearing the news!

I've finished nearly all my "homework" from my classes last weekend in Sydney. I'll share over a few days, or there will be way too many pics!! Tonight I'm going to share my Stitch-a-doodle L/O I created in Zina Wright's class. She is one very talented lady! Her L/O's are just beautiful!! Love 'em!

Here's mine.

Today I finished a Coffee Bag Book for a swap on Scrapbooking Memories forum. This is for Miss Cath, and her theme was seasons. We had to scrap our favourite season and why...got me to thinking. Was fun and I'm happy with the final result!

I promise to post some more pics tomorrow of my Mini books I created last weekend.

More pics from Sydney's Paper Arts Festival

Thought I'd share a few more pics with you. This first pic has a story behind it. Our "scrum" pic took a few go's to get it right, but it was worth it. This was while we were saying goodbye on friday night, before a few of the girls headed home to the Central coast. The only one missing was Scrapgoddess(Leanne), who had ducked over to Krispy Kreme's for some donuts! Going around clockwise from me is: Miss cath(Cath), Scrappinowl(Gill), Scrapwitch(Lisa), Jenni(Jenni), Webgod(Pam), crazymumm(Lucy) and Miss Nance(Gail)

Here is one of Scrapwitch and me in Elsie's class!

My cousin Nicole, who lives in Adelaide, came to help out on Mum and Dad's stand. This pic was just after dinner at Lone star on sat night. It's been a year since I've seen her. It was great catching up. She's getting married in January, and I can't wait to be at her special day and see all my relatives again.

Meeting Elsie and Zina

I arrived home this afternoon from the Paper Arts Festival in Sydney. I had 4 amazing and inspiring days. I was lucky enough to do Elsie Flannigan's - "A year in photos" class. It was great. Elsie is just lovely, and even sweeter in real life. I promise to share what we did once I finish it off.

I met up with Scrapwitch and Scrapgoddess from Scrapbooking Memories Forum, who also did Elsie's class. Then off to meet up with some of the other lovely ladies from the forum. We then met up with webgod, crazymumm, miss nance, miss cath, cazfun, jenni, little scrap, scrappinowl, lisap and helenj. Hope I haven't forgotten anyone.

Saw a few of the girls from LSBS on the stand and off to do some shopping. Then we all headed over for dinner. Lots of laughs, chatter and thousands of pics being taken!

On Saturday, I powered through two of Zina Wright's classes, which were fantastic! She's such a creative and inspiring person. She taught us a few tricks and gave us plenty of ideas. I've finished my stitch-a-doodle L/O but will take a pic tomorrow, to show you. Just love Zina's work!!

More shopping....then I headed home this morning, back to reality! I have had the best break away and couldn't have thought of a better way to spend it!

I promise to share some more photos tomorrow.

Off to meet Elsie

I'm off to Sydney in the morning for the Paper Arts Festival. Elsie Flannagan is coming out from America to teach, so I'm doing one of her classes. I can't wait!! I'm also booked into two of Zina Wright's classes as well. Loving her work! :-)

Some of the girls from Scrapbooking Memories Forum and LSBS are getting together for dinner on Friday night. Most of them I have never met before, but everyone is so excited, so it will be heaps of fun! Counting down the hrs now.....

I'm back Sunday afternoon, so I'll have heaps to share by the end of the weekend!

Here's a L/O I did for the LSBS Doodling Comp.
