Am I up for a challenge?

Leish has issued a Blog Challenge this week. We have to write about our Dream holiday. Well, my ultimate dream holiday - that I will get to ONE DAY, is to the Greek Islands. I want to visit Santorini. It's an island that was a volcano. It's just beautiful. When you look at all those paintings with white buildings and brilliant blue rooves with a ocean background, That's Santorini. I promise myself, I WILL make it there before I die! Well, that's the goal, anyway.

Jason and I have been pretty lucky. Pre-kids we visited some beautiful locations. We've been to Bali(the Aussie pilgrimage), had our honeymoon in Vanuatu, as well as visiting some great Aussie destinations. The Great Ocean Road(Vic), Melbourne, Sydney, Barossa Valley and Adelaide, out west to Longreach, I could go on and on.

Jason and I would like to go back and visit Vanuatu for our 10th wedding Anniversary, which is not that far away. Only a year and a half away. How time flies!

L/O Share

I've been a good scrapper this week, completing two challenges for two seperate forums. I thought I'd share one at a time, to keep you guessing. This one is for our weekly challenge at Scrapbook City. We had to create a L/O with random chipboard letters and 5 eyelets, 4 buttons, 3 flowers, 2 ribbons and only 1 Patterned paper. It was a bit of a challenge. I can't remember the last time I used eyelets.

This is what I came up with! It's of Ella, pics taken earlier this year(she doesn't have much hair in this pic!). I had Oprah on and there was a special on James Blunt, and she was glued to it. She's got great taste in music!

I'm off to the Cyber crop at Scrapbbok City tonight. Can't wait for the latest challenge! Better be off, it starts soon! :-)

Have a good weekend,

She's walking

Ella is finally walking. It's been the odd few steps every now and then, mainly with the use of the furniture. Well, today, she's taken the plunge and walked all by herself. YAY!! The baby is disapperaring and the little girl is emerging.

You are so busted

I did this L/O through the week for the weekly Challenge at Scrapbook city. We had to make a monogram. Hand drawn was the preference, and I don't make my own, so was a challenge that was lots of fun! Love the way this came together. The L/O is about Ella, the day she got into the Anzac biscuit tin. What a mess she created, and of course I said to her "You are so busted!", hence the title.

I worked at the Brisbane Craft show today on my Mum's stand. Was very busy and I have very sore feet. Off to the show tomorrow to shop, with my little sister, Kellie! Should be fun! So, I'll have lots to play with, hopefully!! :-)

Loving this L/O

Here is my other L/O from the Little Scrapbook Shop's Cyber Crop last weekend! The Challenge was we had to include 13 of something and use a circle somewhere. I used flowers and included a chipboard circle! I love the way this L/O turned out! :-)

I had a visit to the Dr's this afternoon to have two moles removed. Ouch! Not during, or just after, but am feeling them tonight! My first stitches ever....as my Dr said stitches from having a tooth out didn't count! (He He) He thinks he's pretty funny....:-) Now, I have to live with them for a week, before having them removed next Tues!

Just a quick one tonight,

Little Scrapbook Shop Cyber crop

Well, I got two Challenges done on the Spooky Cyber Crop held last friday the 13th October! The Challenges were great with lots of spooky themes to incorporate into L/O's. I'll post one tonight and keep you guessing until tomorrow for the other one!

Challenge One was a sketch Challenge. We had to stick to the sketch and here is what I came up with!

It's of Ella. The journalling reads:
"Ella, at 6 months of age, you are growing up right before our eyes."

Happy Birthday to Daddy!!

It's my dear husband's Birthday today!

He never forgets his Birthday....a constant reminder is the Bali Bombings. We were celebrating Jason's 30th Birthday the night the bombs went off. Very sad, especially when we were at the clubs affected only 2 years earlier!

Jase has been in Melbourne since Monday, and arrives home late tonight. So, for the kids we are doing Birthday cake tomorrow night. Zac is very into birthday's and cakes at the moment! So, I think we'll make tomorrow Daddy's Birthday for his sake.

Terrific or Terrible Two's?

I found a pic of Zac on the weekend. It was at Ella's Naming day, back in april. He was two at the time, and I think this pic captures a two year old look! The "do I have to?" look. We had heaps of photos taken with ella on her special day, but zac was keeping up with all the other kids playing footy, etc, and didn't really want a pic taken. Nanny Sue took this one and sent it to me. I used a TLC kit, but added some extras to make this up.

Here's another pic for you. A few months ago, I was in a swap for recipes on file cards. I got the cards back a few weeks ago, but the file box has been sitting. So, yesterday I finished it off. Quite happy with the results.

Last night's class

I taught a class for my Mum's online store last night to some lovely ladies. I did a class on Christmas gift ideas. They all made a Christmas CD magnet. I included a photo on mine, but some of the ladies put a sentiment on theirs. They all told me they were going to keep them and not give them away as pressies! :-)

The two little poppets in the photo are Zac and Ella, of course!

Today has been a reasonably quiet day - a home day for us. I've nearly finished a few projects off. Waiting for things to dry. Thought I'd po in early today...not like me. I'm usually a late night poster!

Will have a few projects to share in coming days. :-)

Congratulations Craig Lowndes!

Today I scrapped in front of the TV, watching Bathurst! It was an action packed day with lots of thrills and plenty of spills. I just love Bathurst. My Dad being a huge Motorsport "nut", my younger sister and I grew up with it. I've always loved Peter Brock and have a real soft spot for Craig Lowndes. So, for me, today couldn't have ended any better...with Craig Lowndes winning Bathurst and the Peter Brock trophy. I shed a few tears both at the start and end of the race. A fitting tribute to the great "Peter Perfect".

I've been scrapping up a storm this weekend. I've completed 4 layouts and a file box for recipe cards. I thought I'd share with you a L/O for a Photo swap I'm in on Scrapbooking Memories Forum. Hope you like it, Lee!

The second pic shows the hidden journalling. This L/O is so different from how I normally scrap, especially the colors. It was a fun challenge!

Grandparents Day!!

Today was Grandparents Day at Daycare. Grandma, Nana and Pa came and had morning tea with Zac and Ella. Zac loved having his Grandparents there, while Ella was quite happy eating.

The centre was a hive of activity with lots of kids and Grandparents mingling. Poor Pa, I think he had a headache from all the noise from the kids. But they had fun, and that's the main thing. A great morning!

Love using up those Scraps!

I finished off a L/O this afternoon I started over the weekend. It's a challenge from my Yahoo group. We had to do a L/O which had doodling on it. After doing the Scrapbook City Cyber Crop last weekend, Sara encouraged me to use up those scraps. I've hand written my journalling(inspired by Elsie - of course!), and drew flowers, hearts and an arrow on leftover pieces of Patterned paper.

The L/O is of the two precious little people in my life, Zac and Ella. Zac is coming out with some adorable things at times. It's "Love U Too" at the moment, hence the title of this L/O.

I'm quite happy with it!

Well done Broncs!!

Well done to the Broncs tonight! You did Brissy proud. I honestly thought the Storm may beat them, but NO, instead ending the fairytale for Shane Webke!
Can you believe I am the same age as Shane Webke? He looks a little worse for wear, don't you think? Not 32!!
