Our budding Hairdresser

I'm not sure if Zac is going to follow in my footsteps and become a Hairdresser, but sure seemed like it the other day. I was folding up washing in the lounge room, Monday afternoon, and the kids were in Ella's room playing with a teddy that sings. They were having fun, lots of giggles when I noticed everything went quiet. I always worry when everything goes quiet....wandered into my room and Zac had not only waxed his own hair, but also Ella's to the point it was stiff and very shiny! I laughed then got the camera, to take a pic(as you do!). One of those moments.

It took 4 washes with soap to get it out of Zac's hair and 3 washes to get it out of Ella's. We had to go out for dinner that night, but they looked ok. Their hair wasn't too unruly!

Hope everyone is nearly ready for Christmas. I've only got a bit of running around to do tomorrow. Just mainly things I need to take to my family destinations(ie. chips, coke, cheese for a cheese platter, etc)

Only 4 sleeps til the Big fella in red arrives!

Christmas at Pop's

We had Christmas on Macleay Island over the weekend. Jason's Dad(Pop) lives over there with his partner, Carol. They are off to Melbourne for Christmas next weekend, so Santa came early. The kids loved it! There are a few cousins now. My two, Zac(3) and Ella(15 mths), Melanie(9), Griffin(7) and Seth(6 mths), the newest addition to the Jamieson clan.

Uncle Scotty took the kids for a swim after lunch - BAD IDEA - this was the result...as the tide was out. This is Griffin, Zac and Mel. They had heaps of fun, playing in the mud!

Zac was nominated Santa's little helper and No.1 Elf. He had the honors of handing out presents this year, but not without being in complete uniform. He was very cute!

This is Seth, who is now 6 mths old. Jason and I are very proud godparents as well as Uncle and Aunty to this georgeous little man! He smiles at everyone, rolls over and has picked up shaking his head. Very cute!

The last one for today is Daddy and Ella. She was looking very cool in this picture, dummy and sunnies! She has a fasination with wearing glasses at the moment. Couldn't resist...had to take a pic.

So, a nice weekend away from the mundane tasks at home. Was very relaxing even if the weather wasn't very good. Very rainy and extremely windy out in the bay today!

Have a good week!

Loving Robbie!

Well, I witnessed a showman at his best last night! Robbie Williams' concert was fantastic! We were in the "mosh" pit area, right up near the stage. He sang, told stories, sang with his brother, did an old "Take That" song, and smoked another ciggy on stage, much to the Health ministers disgust.(In the paper this morning)

It was lights, smoke, fire and fireworks. An awesome stage, with an awesome performer!

I'm just loving Robbie!

What is it about BAD BOYS that make us like them so much?

The best thing was you were allowed to take photos. There's a first for everything! So here are a couple from the night!

This is Robbie walking down the runway at the start of the show.

For the encore, he came back onto the stage from the roof.

And this one I took from the big screen and then cropped it in photoshop. Cool hey!

Update on the past week!

Things are so hectic this time of year. Way to much to do...and not enough time to do it! The past week has been a blur. Here it is in dot form.

- Last Tues, Ella woke with a high temp. After going to the Dr's, she couldn't find anything wrong with her. She has been teething lately, so thought it could be that or she has a viral infection. Temp went down Thursday. In between, I had a very wingey little girl who wouldn't leave my side.

- She went back to Daycare Fri, had a good day. She was in the bath, I turned around to get her towel and she decided she'd get out herself, fell and split her head open. Off to the hospital to see if it needed stitches, with her very emotional mother at this stage. Was ok, clean cut and the dr glued it and put a stairy strip over it. Took the stairy strip off yesterday and it's healing well.

- Zac had sport on Sat morning. After that, we headed over to see Daddy(who was at work), and Ella looked a bit red in the face. By the time we got home she was covered in a rash on her face, back and tummy. Ok, after the week I had, I panicked!! back down the dr's and they isolated us(due to the rash) and found out it was Roseola - a common type of viral rash in kids. Had gone by the time we got home.

- Took the kids to the Gatton speedway on Sat night. My Dad has a Dwarf car he races, and the kids hadn't seen him race. was heaps of fun. He had a great night, winning the night with 3 x 1sts and 1 x 2nd. Was quite proud of himself.

- Sunday, Jase had tickets to the PGA Golf Championship at Coolum(through work). Told me I was going to have a night away from the kids. Was great, not that I'm that in to golf, but there were celebrities everywhere. We went down for a drink before heading out to dinner, and I saw Jeff Kennett, Brett Ogle, Jason Dunstall, Jack Nicholas, Craig Parry, and the very impressive George Gregan. Now, I've never been a huge fan of George, but after seeing him signing autographs and chatting to people who he didn't need from a bar of soap, he was very polite and friendly, signed plenty of autographs and didn't tell one person No! He's won a heart in me. Very nice and genuine person....I'll be sticking up for him if they ever try and sack him as Wallaby Captain again. Had a great night away at the Hyatt Coolum..very noice, highly recommend it. Total relaxation!

- Got home Monday, worked Tues and today have spent putting our house back together and catching up on mountains of washing. Mission accomplished!

- My younger cousin, Kristi, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl around 6pm tonight...so I'm none the wiser on names or weights yet. Just know she was delivered by caesar and both Mum and Bub are doing well. Have to ring my Aunty Jenny tomorrow to get all the details.

- Off to Robbie Williams at Suncorp tomorrow night and can't wait! Will tell you all about it on Friday!

So, I'm back on track...finished my Xmas shopping, just need to finish off a few "scrapped" pressies. So, better get to it!

The pics I promised...

of Suttons Beach at Redcliffe. Blogger is going to be nice and let me upload today...I hope.

I'm home with Ella today who has a tummy bug. I kept her home to get rid of it before Christmas. That wouldn't be much fun. She's sound asleep at the moment.

Here are my pics(taken with my new camera!)....

Zac, all smiles. He just loved the beach!

Ella playing in the water.

This is my niece, Melanie. Loving this photo of her!

A day at Sutton's Beach

Every year we get together with our friend's, just before Christmas. We get to catch up...Santa brings the kids presents, we eat, laugh and spend a little time together, before the silly season begins!

Most years we go to Southbank, but our usual "spot" has been dug up making way for a new "Water Play" area. So, we had to find somewhere else. So, we all headed to Sutton's Beach at Redcliffe. It was a beautiful day, and the kids had heaps of fun swimming, kicking the ball and skipping. (my niece Melanie, got a skipping rope from Santa)

It was Ella's first real trip to the beach. She was only 3 months old last Christmas, so a little young for the experience. Playing in the sand and sitting on the edge and letting the waves hit her. She had heaps of fun!

We saw the parachuters land on the beach...the kids thought that was pretty cool!!

A great day was had by all...a little sunburnt, but ok! Needless to say Zac and Ella were in bed early tonight.

I can't put any pics in at the moment...Blogger won't let me. Promise i will later!
