It's a Winner!!

As some of you know I did all 3 Challenges in the first ever Scrapbook City Cyber Crop. Well, my L/O from Challenge 2 was a Winner! And let me tell you, I'm a little excited!

Challenge 2 - We had to create a L/O with the theme "What you wear". It had to include a pic of ourselves in it. Here is my creation. I used the pattern on my top as inspiration for the doodling on this L/O.

YAY! I've still got a big grin from ear to ear,

Movieworld

Today was Jase's last day of holidays. He's back to work tomorrow. So, we decided over a week ago we'd take the kids to Movieworld! Everything was right...it was middle of the week - less people and it wasn't in school holidays. All was great...except the weather! It started ok, bright sunshine, then down it came. So much so, we couldn't wait to get home to have a hot shower!

Zac really enjoyed it! He met Batman and Robin, so that made his day! Check out the pic! He was tall enough for a few rides. At the Looney Tunes Village, Daddy took him on the River ride and suggested Mummy take him on the Road Runner Roller Coaster. All was good to start, then it got really fast(even Mummy held on!). After it was finished he told me " Mummy that was a bit scary, we're not going on that again!". Well, Daddy saw his face and said it was hilarious, and he was glad that I took him.

Ella thought Marvin the Martian and Foghorn Leghorn were funny. Apart from the rain(which hasn't fallen from the sky in QLD for a very long time), we all had a fun day!

Farewell to Leish...

Went off to Scrapbook City tonight to say Goodbye to Leish, before she heads off to "NEW YORK! NEW YORK!". Had a fun night and got to put lots of usernames/names to faces from the Scrapbook City Forum!

I haven't known Leish all that long, but she's a very talented Scrapper, who's work really inspires me! Thanks Leish! You will be sadly missed here in Sunny Qld and we'll definately keep in touch with blogging!

Good luck, and take heaps of pics! We all want to see what New York is like, and how you're doing!

Take Care,

YAY!! He's home!

Jase arrived back home from the Gympie Muster tired and dirty this morning. The shower facilities were a little to be desired, so he tells me. Only one hot shower in their block! All in the name of tuffing it, I say! They all had a good time, so that's the main thing.

Seeing I got lots done over the weekend with Jase away, I'll share one L/O each day. This L/O is from the Scrapbook City Cyber Crop on Friday night. This is Challenge One, and we had to use buttons in some way. This was my interpretation.

The pic is of my friend, Lee-Ann's little 3 mth old daughter, Hollee. This was taken at her Christening in July. Isn't she cute?

Off to say Bye to Leish tomorrow night at Scrapbook City...:-( See you bloggers there!

Circle Journal

Last week I spent a few late nights working on Circle Journal L/O's for a "Scrappin' Buddies" theme on Scrapbooking memories forum.

The guidelines were that we had to include a photo of ourself, some info about me, Favourite scrapper, Favourite paper, Favourire colours, etc....you get the picture.

So, what to do...I decided to do something that showed my personality. So, mine are bright. I love bold bright colours, and I think it represents me perfectly. On friday afternoon I posted off the last few I had completed. All in all, I created 20 L/O's! Under my house(in my rumpus room)it became a bit of a production line. But, I'm happy with the result, and so glad I've completed them all. The swap ends in Dec, but I got in early and got them out of the way. I know I'll have plenty to do closer to Christmas!

I love Fridays.....

I really do, it's my day! Kids are at Daycare....I just love Fridays!

Today I went and saw a movie - United 93. It is on the September 11 Terrorist attacks. It is focused on the United flight that the passengers tried to overthrow the terrorists and they crashed in a field, near Pennsylvania(I think).

Well, by the end of it, I was in tears. Great movie though! I still can't believe that this terrible event has happened in our lifetime. We so often hear about things that happened before we were born - like Vietnam, Hiroshima and the World wars. But to think that there are people out there that want to harm others, in this day and age. What sort of a world are our kids growing up in?

Anyway, enough of the deep and meaningful....tonight I participated in the first ever Scrapbook City Cyber crop. Was lots of fun! I didn't get much done, so when I finish this post I'm off to get started! I hope to get at least one challenge done this weekend....hopefully!

Wish me luck!

My Precious little Angel!

I really can't believe my little baby is turning one in less than 2 weeks! How fast time passes by! I took this photo of Ella a few weeks ago, and had to scrap it!!

I've had a few relaxing days with Jason being on holidays. We went to Gold Class on Tuesday to see "Miami Vice". I liked it but Jase was a bit disappointed. How could you be disappointed with Colin Farrell and Jamie Fox? Then had a delicious lunch at the Stafford Tavern. We don't get to spend much time, just the two of us these days.

Jason left this morning(at 4.30am) for Gympie to go to The Muster! He's gone with about 8 mates. It's his first time to the Muster. We've been to Tamworth heaps of times to the Country Music festival, so this will be a new experience. Zac is missing him already and he doesn't come home til Monday!

So, you know what that means....I'm home with the kids so I'll have lots of time to scrap this weekend!

Photo swap!

I finished off a L/O for a Photo Swap on Scrapbooking Memories Forum. It's for webgod, and I hope she likes it. I made a few changes from the pic. Didn't like the buttons, so I pulled them off and put eyelets where the buttons were, and threaded fibre through. Too dark to take a pic tonight....but you get the idea!

I'm posting it off to her tomorrow. I've had a productive night. Finished some CJ pages for a swap on the forum also, as well as a double page in a PBA on recipes!
Been a busy little beaver. Feeling all up to date and ready for the next PBA to arrive!

Finally finished my Possum L/O!

I finally finished my Possum L/O this afternoon. I began working on it for the Little Scrapbook Shop Cyber Crop over a week ago. Then I got sick, so it's been sitting there ever since! It was a challenge that we had to stick to a sketch and the theme was "outside your front/back door". So, seeing we have this cute and cuddly possum who visits us regularly, I decided to scrap a photo of him!
I did a bit of doodling. All the white areas, as well as my journalling are with a white gel pen. I think I'm going to need a new one soon....becoming a serial doodler! But, I'm loving it!

I've been sick! :-(

A quick post tonight..... I've had a few days that I wish I could have fast forwarded. I've been sick. It began with a gastro bug then to top it off I've got a really good dose of the flu. I've had the shivers, shakes and muscles aching down to the bones. I spent most of Monday in bed. Jase stayed home to look after the kids for me, so I could get some rest. Now, I've just got the flu....nothing some cold and flu tablets won't help with. So, I'm on the mend....:-)

Online class with Karen Ridgeway!

Today I did my very first online class with Karen Ridgeway! Am I excited about it...YES! I was soooo happy with how my L/O turned out. One very proud chicky indeed!

I can so see myself doing more doodling...I just think you need someone to give you some ideas. Before, I tended to do the same thing all the time...but Karen has opened up my eyes!

It is of my 3 yr old son, Zac, riding his new bike he got for his Birthday recently.

Would love to hear you feedback!

First time to the Ekka!

Well, Daddy took Zac to his very first Ekka this afternoon. Sounds like they had fun...Zac hasn't stopped talking about it. They wore out the clowns, saw the Farmyard friends and went on the ferris wheel. They came home with the Pirates of the Carribean showbag, Superman showbag and lots of munchies showbags. They also bought me the Cadbury bag - OOHHH, they know the way to my heart!

Zac also won his bubby sister a stuffed toy, although she was more intrested in the swords in the Pirates showbag.

A good time was had by all, he's now sound asleep in bed...:-)

It's been a week......

Well yes, I've been slack with my blog. It's been a week since my last post!! How slack am I?
Last weekend saw us at Zac's sports lesson at 8.30am, then off to watch cousin Mikey play Soccer against Knights in Ipswich. He played against Jason's godson, Bryce. It was a hard fought game but Mikey's team - Qld Lions - won 3-0. I wasn't cheering for anyone, to keep the peace!

Then Sunday, we went to a Birthday BBQ for our godson, Riley. He turned 5, so we made the long trip to the country(Minden) for the celebration. Had a good afternnon, with both kids sleeping all the way home.

Monday - usual - housework day and to resore the mayhem created over the weekend.

I finished off a L/O over the weekend. It is of Ella's Naming Day which was in April. I went a little bit flower crazy, and added some doodling!

Another L/O!

Well, the next installment from the cyber crop I did with my Yahoo group on Sunday night. This one, the Challenge was to create a L/O from a Holiday theme. I had to use a monogram and had to use flowers as embellishments. There is hidden journalling under the seal kiss pic!

My L/O is of the Pet porpoise pool that we visited while on holiday in Coffs Harbour in May. Zac and I had our picture taken with the seal, not that Zac was real impressed!

Glad to see Scrapbook City has their forum up and running. Can't wait for the first cyber crop.

It's been a busy day today at work. Beginning of the month, so all the Customer statements had to go out, as well as the end of financial year archiving(yes - only a month behind). Jase and I both went to work this morning with our eyes a little worse for wear, as Ella is teething. And yes, believes everyone else should be up in the middle of the night too. One of her front teeth is through, with the other about to at any time. Let's hope it arrives soon, really can't go on without sleep!

Take care,

Little Princess L/O

Well, after a big weekend in the garden, on Saturday and Sunday, I finally got to some scrapping. Last night my yahoo Group had a cyber crop with 3 Challenges. For the first time, I did them all...and didn't go to bed til after midnight!

The one I've posted here is of my daughter, Ella. Daddy calls her his "Little Princess", hence the name! She's nearly 11 months now. I really don't know where that time has gone. She's walking along the furniture, so it's only a matter of time before she takes those first steps.....:-)

The Challenge for this L/O was a Sketch. I quite like it. Picked up the chipboard title at Scrapbook convention Marketplace. That was a find!!

Well, better get back to the housework...will save the other L/O's for tomorrow!
